General Terms and Conditions for Scicon Sports Competitions hosted by ASG Sport Solutions (PTY) LTD, South Africa, owner of sciconsports.com

Introduction

These Terms and Conditions apply to all competitions hosted by ASG Sport Solutions (Pty) Ltd, South Africa (“Organizer”), owner of sciconsports.com, herein referred to as “Scicon Sports.” By entering the competition, participants agree to these Terms and Conditions, which are binding. Competitions are subject to all applicable laws and regulations.

Eligibility

• Open to individuals who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.

• Participants must be active subscribers to the Scicon Sports newsletter at the time of the prize draw.

• Excludes employees of the Organizer, their immediate families, subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, and third parties involved in this competition.

• Void where prohibited by law.

Competition period

The competition begins and ends as specified on the official competition page. Entries received outside the specified timeframe will not be accepted.

How to enter

• To enter, participants must subscribe to the newsletter

• No purchase is necessary

• Entries must be made directly by the person entering the competition; no group, third-party, or automated entries are permitted.

• Multiple entries are allowed where specified, typically by sharing a referral code or engaging with Scicon Sports social media pages as detailed on the competition portal.

Prizes

• The grand prize includes two signed and framed sets of Tadej Pogačar’s eyewear from the 2024 Giro d’Italia (Pink) and Tour de France (Yellow), presented in a commemorative display.

• Prizes cannot be substituted for cash or other alternatives.

• If circumstances beyond the Organizer’s control prevent the provision of the stated prize, the Organizer reserves the right to award a substitute prize of equal or greater value.

Winner selection and notification

• The winner will be selected randomly through an automated process after the competition period closes.

• The Organizer guarantees fair winner selection, whether through hand draw or automated random selection via a competition platform. The Organizer’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome.

• The winner will be notified via email and must claim their prize within the specified timeframe. If no timeframe is specified, winners will have 14 days to claim their prize.

• Failure to claim the prize within the allotted time may result in forfeiture, and the Organizer reserves the right to select an alternate winner.

Data protection

• Personal information collected from entrants will be used by the Organizer to manage their entry, notify winners, and for other purposes in line with the Organizer’s Privacy Policy and these Terms and Conditions.

Limitation of liability

• The Organizer is not responsible for entries not received due to technical failures or any other circumstances beyond their control.

• The Organizer disclaims any liability for inaccuracies in the information provided by entrants or for any loss or damage resulting from participation in the competition or the use/misuse of any prize.

General

• The Organizer reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these Terms and Conditions without notice in the event of an emergency, catastrophe, or any other situation outside their control that would render the competition impractical or unfair to conduct.

• Competitions and these Terms and Conditions will be governed by South African law, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
