Club members participate in trash clean up events throughout Clovis. We host an annual highway clean up along a 2 mile stretch of highway dedicated to the club. Some members volunteer during community race events. We would like to use the prize money to host a ruck run in our area to support military members injured in war fallen due to suicide and the families they left behind. This is the five town riders part of the Vermont youth cycling program. The 5TR consists of fifth through 12th graders. We practice twice a week and will be doing races in the fall. We built a nine hole disc golf course and encourage people to get outdoors to use the course and our parks. We also host an annual canoe race a disc golf tournament and outdoor activities for kid and families. We would love to expand the nine hole disc golf course into an eighteen hole course and build a running/hiking trail along side of the course. tw_user 150 Weeks 103 Votes

C4 is a nonprofit that supports local charities and participates yearly in the Bicycle Man Give away. We would like to encourage all people to participate in bicycling without regard to your age or expertise. We promote all aspects of cycling with special emphasis on safety bicyclists' rights and responsibilities general health and fitness. We also seek to enhance communications among all cyclists that provide better opportunities for cycling and socializing with others. Provides community meetups for runners and walkers at different local establishemnts with runs on sections of local trail. This way people don't have to explore alone. We are also ALWAYS a no-drop group. Anyone can run everyone should. $15 000 is a lot of money... but we have been working to offer quarterly 5k events for everyone with a training program. I would LOVE to see SPARC be able to host these events in the community to continue to showcase our beautiful city as well as continue to prove that anyone can do this. tw_user 150 Weeks 0 Votes

We are a women’s only group that focuses on higher intensity interval type workouts specifically. I provide the workouts and teach women how to go beyond easy long runs within a safe group environment. While not mandatory I geared workouts towards the Quad Rock 25/50 this last May and had 8 women participate in the 25. It was the longest race 3 of them had completed. With money I could make this group an official club with expanded outreach. I could explicitly target training cycles for local trail races as more of a team and cover costs associated with permitting larger group sizes as well and establishing member benefits. tw_user 150 Weeks 116 Votes

I created Santa Mujeres Run Club with my friend and it started out as a safe place for BIWoC to get active together. It's started as a run club for women of color lead by women of color. It has since expanded to include all BIPOC but it's still a run club lead by Women. It gives the space for women to lead runs. It has a great impact in the community because it is one of the most diverse run clubs in San Diego CA. But also it's a space for runners of all levels. We are a great run club for beginners and seasoned runners who want to be in community with folks that look like them. It's been the one overwhelming feedback we receive. This money would have a great impact in our community. Thinking ahead it would be used for our members to join races like the Triple Crown Half Marathon Series in San Diego county that keeps us training and running races all year. It would also be great to maybe attend a race out of town we love running Vacation Races but it's not always possible for some of our runners who are interested due to financial reasons. We would also use it on running gear for the club. One of my biggest dreams/ideas is one day create 5K in Barrio Logan. We have a monthly run in Barrio Logan and would love to have a run there for the entire community. This neighborhood holds a special place in my heart it is vibrant Mexican American/Chicano/a neighborhood with a lot of history. I identify as Chicana/Mexican American and would love to create an event there where it would definitely give back to the community. TrailblazHers Run Co. is an all female run crew in Boston geared toward creating space for women especially BIPOC women of Boston and beyond. We created TrailblazHERs Run Co. to respond to a need in our community. We wanted to create a diverse welcoming and supportive environment tailored to women especially women of color/minority women and motivate them on whatever end of the spectrum they may be on their running journey. Not only do we value the physical wellbeing of our women we also value their mental emotional and spiritual wellbeing. Our efforts are not soley rooted in running but in supporting our women in/as their whole selves. We accomplish this through our monthly Self Care Sunday (SCS) event. Our SCS events couple running with an additional activity or workshop that nurtures our authentic selves and the communities in which we live. Previous SCS have included meditation yoga Zumba and self-defense workshops. We utilize SCSs to connect with the greater fitness and Boston communities; we also aim to celebrate and recognize beautiful and unique parts of our members. In April 2022 in recognition of National Deaf History Month we partnered with DEAFinitely Inc. to honor our deaf community within TrailblazHers Run Co. We collaborated with Heartbreak Boston to host a footwear and running tip clinic before the Boston Marathon. We’ve connected with local politicians like State Representative Liz Miranda Boston City Councilor At-Large Ruthzee Louijeune and now Boston Mayor Michelle Wu to talk about difficult issues in our communities be it safety lack of diversity in leadership and current events - from Asian-hate to Black Lives Matter to Women’s rights. On International Women’s Day 2022 we partnered with the Women’s Lunch Place Day Shelter to host a Take Back the Night event promoting safety for women in the running community while collecting items and monetary donations for the shelter. Our mission takes a multi-dimensional approach in empowering all women to celebrate all bodies and every body. We aim to tackle and dismantle mainstream messaging on beauty and womanhood. We embrace our authentic selves fully. We value and nurture the diversity in sisterhood. All while uplifting each other and our community. We uplift we unite we are unstoppable. If awarded the grant money TrailblazHERs Run Co. will utilize the funds to support four pillars: race accessibility running gear community outreach and scale and impact. Running Accessibility Running can be inaccessible in both feeling like a runner but also in the participation in races. In a world class running city we want to make running accessible not just visibly but also financially. Through the creation of a race scholarship fund our women will have the ability to participate in races that would otherwise be financially unattainable like the Boston Marathon. Running Gear Many think that running is an inexpensive sport; you just need yourself. However running and taking care of your body for optimal running does require capital. We aim to create annual race kits for our women which will include running accessories (such as compression socks and running belts) nutrional items (such as energy gels and electrolyte tablets) health items (such as body glides pain relieving gels band-aids tape and foam rollers) and running wearables (such as a running watch fitness tracker sleep monitor etc.). Community Outreach We seek to amplify the mission of TrailblazHers Run Co. through visibility in all communities. Although all of our programming is free for our TrailblazHer members additional funds would allow us to support the logistics of our events (including digital and paper marketing items catering and event space) enabling us to go beyond our established community and partner with other non-profit organizations in the Greater Boston area and beyond. Scale and Impact Let’s be real; there should be a TrailblazHers Run Co. chapter in all major cities specifically in areas that have marginalized populations. Running and fitness are everywhere and happen everywhere everyday. We know that women thrive and are more successful when they have a community celebrating them and cheering them on. As we plan to incorporate scale and impact into our one three and five year plans we recognize the need for funding to do so effectively. Picture this: You wake up on a Saturday morning and are craving some outdoor time but don't have anyone to hike with. You're also a human with feelings, and you're looking for a way to bring more balance into your life. You roll out of bed, check the Hiking My Feelings Family portal, and join a hike near you. No more more missed adventures because you don't have anyone to share them with. We started Hiking My Feelings in 2018 with Sydney's speaking tour, sharing the story of how hiking helped her heal her mind and body. As we traveled around the US in 2019, folks kept asking us when we'd start a local Hiking My Feelings chapter. We listened, and we planned to do a slow roll out of this program in 2020 during Sydney's book tour, but when the pandemic wiped out our event calendar, this idea didn't make it to the back burner, it fell off the stove entirely. Winning this grant would give us the resources to plan and execute the launch of our local hiking chapters, helping us expand our mission to improve community health by creating more opportunities for people to experience the healing power of nature. tw_user 150 Weeks 252 Votes

Accordingly the team supports many military-outreach initiatives including the USO Fischer House or something as small as a member who needs help. In particular the team is welcoming of new members who have been transferred to the base not only as runners but to help them get acquainted with the community. I think it would be really special for our group to be able to sponsor the race fees for our active-duty and veteran military members especially for our home race—the Air Force Marathon—but also for other special events that the member demonstrates a particular interest in. tw_user 150 Weeks 6 Votes

Our goal that help keep us motivated is for all of us to participate for some to race hard inand others to merely finish the American Birkebeiner in Wisconsin in February. Having funds to help defray travel and registration costs would make it feasible for all our participants to get excited about improving their physical fitness and to attract more local adults into our great outdoor endurance sport fitting adults of all ages color shapes many disabilities and fitness levels. We want to provide more riding opportunities educate youth riders on trail safety responsibility and stewardship work with out local trail organization to build and maintain trails in our area celebrate biking through festivals and organized events and get kids OUTSIDE and active! Saranac Lake Pump Track and Surrounding Trails Project--this project in underway but funding is needed for wooden skills features a bridge that will connect the rail trail to our climbing trail communal benches at the site a public bike stand and rack and increased dirt and labor to expand some of the trails on site. tw_user 150 Weeks 175 Votes

We provide free 3 D mammograms for underserved communities along with recovery wear items including mastectomy bras and swimsuits along with head coverings. They also offer free counseling sessions with a therapist for those in need. They hold weekly group rides get togethers and we join each other at competitions throughout the country. I think the entire Denver community would benefit from the prize money as G4G can use it to support those struggling with mental health. With how things in our country are going the inconsistency and the unkown many people are struggling with mental health. With the prize money we can give back to our local community by supporting those struggling with therapy sessions with a counselor who can’t afford help or create a large event promoting suicide awareness and bringing athletes and community members together. We are fundraising partners for the non-profit pediatric hospital Children’s MN and we plan to use our event (and future events) to raise critical funds to benefit patients and families of the oncology department. We want to increase participation in our current event increase the number of events held each year and massively increase our annual donations! - We are fundraising partners for the non-profit pediatric hospital Children’s MN and we plan to use our event (and future events) to raise critical funds to benefit patients and families of the oncology department. We want to increase participation in our current event increase the number of events held each year and massively increase our annual donations! Girls that participate in our program credit Girls on the Run with helping them manage emotions resolve conflict help others and be intentional with decisions - life skills that are critical during the current environment and that girls are able continue to use long after our program's conclusion. We are also building a fleet of youth bikes for kids that do not have a bike or their bike is not safe to compete on thus lowering the bar for entry so every one can participate. These funds could help with cost on flags, bibs, medals. OR 3. We would like to take 10 runners to run the annual RUN FOR THEIR LIVES endurance run (300 miles this year) as a relay team. These funds would help take a group of 10 runners run the 300 miles for Run For Their Lives to help with flags, transportation, accommodation, food, buckles/medal/plaque for those runners. Going to a group ride for the first time is hard and scary no matter your skill level or who you know. But going to a group ride when there is nobody who looks like you makes it even harder. After my first group ride I found myself feeling lost—there was this incredible bike community I wanted so badly to tap into but there was nobody I felt like I could approach—I was the only woman there. I started pushing myself to continue attending group rides and started signing up for races. After realizing there were only a handful of people who identify as women at both the start line of races and community centered rides that were meant to build an inclusive community I set out to create the Ride or Die Collective (RDC). RDC is a cycling group for people who identify as female to not only have other women to ride with but to learn about cycling learn about their bikes and better understand their own bodies and nutrition. While at first the idea was to have more women at start lines and community rides RDC has grown into something we could have never imagined. There is a community of nearly 50 riders who lean on each other for support on and off the bike. We have partnered with community members to break down barriers that women face in cycling and in their day-to-day lives. Once we started the team we didn’t stop there. We have continued to make cycling more accessible to beginner riders by offering an inclusive group ride every week. This ride is open to the entire community and our mantra is simple—don’t kill the vibe. Additionally once a month we offer a group ride The Collective Ride for only people who identify as female. People come from all over for this ride with close to 100 riders per month and individuals driving from 2+ hours away. When we ask them why they drive that far their answer is simple: The collective ride feels approachable and they aren’t afraid to show up even if they are by themselves. At least months collective ride we hosted a nutrition talk following the ride to better understand how we can fuel ourselves for riding. We strive to have our events not only focus on riding together and exploring new trails but also on fueling our bodies and understanding our bikes. The work we do is not easy but we are guided by a shared passion of creating a more inclusive environment for women as their struggle is out struggle and their success is our own. With a strong North Star guiding everything we do there's no question that the money would filter directly back into women in cycling. We currently have so much we want to do but we are limited by funds. We are lucky to have community support but we want to be able to compensate our female speakers and leaders. Additionally we are working to increase ALL historically marginalized populations access to biking. We have had the chance to outfit a few BIPOC riders with helmets kits etc. but our hope is to build out a specific BIPOC community of female cyclists and help break down any barriers they may have to cycling. The power of representation has proven to be our best path forward in making change. When we ask them why they drive that far their answer is simple: The collective ride feels approachable and they aren’t afraid to show up even if they are by themselves. At least months collective ride we hosted a nutrition talk following the ride to better understand how we can fuel ourselves for riding. We strive to have our events not only focus on riding together and exploring new trails but also on fueling our bodies and understanding our bikes. The work we do is not easy but we are guided by a shared passion of creating a more inclusive environment for women as their struggle is out struggle and their success is our own. With a strong North Star guiding everything we do there's no question that the money would filter directly back into women in cycling. We currently have so much we want to do but we are limited by funds. We are lucky to have community support but we want to be able to compensate our female speakers and leaders. Additionally we are working to increase ALL historically marginalized populations access to biking. We have had the chance to outfit a few BIPOC riders with helmets kits etc. but our hope is to build out a specific BIPOC community of female cyclists and help break down any barriers they may have to cycling. The power of representation has proven to be our best path forward in making change. The money would be used to reach our mission of getting more women on bikes and start lines.

Winter Solstice Charity Run (canned food donations) shoe/apparel donations to high school runners in Machakos Kenya. Our run group has done a wonderful job in giving back to the community. Without them we wouldn't be able to do it and this is just a small part of it. Provide the group with t-shirts. Design running trail maps for the community and host a local race. By bringing in a race runners pay for hotels and restaurants which helps out our community in return. Offer prize money to elites to bring more attention to runners from all over. We are actively promoting family participation in many of our events. We are also trying to build a women's group to hike fly fish or camp. We have several free events where we take people out into the wilderness to explore in southeastern Colorado. RacekraftMTB is a gravity development mountain bike team competing in Downhill, Enduro, and Dual Slalom. We have 12 athletes aged 10-19. Our kids are kind and inclusive. As a team our philosophy is to not only raise athletes but well rounded humans. I can't say that an event has gone by without another team, parent, or athlete sharing positive feedback about our team. This scholarship would allow us to expand our reach of services. There is a major barrier to entry in the sport of mountain biking and there are a lot of talented kids out there. We would like to be able to support 1-2 athletes next season with this money and give them full access to everything needed to compete at a national level. This can range from bikes, to travel fees. We would also prioritize this money going to individuals who typically have not had access to the means to participate in this sport and someone who is from an underrepresented population in the sport of MTB. Nothing makes me more excited than the idea of providing all womxn a place to feel brave and go after things (even if that is just being brave enough to come to a group environment!) The Portland Frontrunners date back to 1982. (There were rumors of runners calling themselves Frontrunners prior to this but no one I ever met could verify their existence although many tried.) Anyway upon their return from the first Gay Games (San Francisco August 1982) some (in particular Keaston Lowery and Kenny Davis) decided Portland needed its own Frontrunner organization. They spread word through the bars to all runners - or more aptly to everyone they knew who ran - that a group was forming. Back then the Bars were the main social vehicle so spreading word while out and about on a Friday or Saturday night was the most efficacious way to communicate. In fact the Frontrunners was one of the first gay organizations formed in Portland although the Gay Men’s Chorus and MCC did pre-date it. And in those early days we had quite a few “social runners” those who only participated in the social events but were never seen at an actual run. In those early days the group mainly ran on Tuesday nights (with people usually going to dinner afterwards at a locale decided upon that night). Monthly Saturday runs took place at different locations usually decided by the group during a Tuesday night run. As you might suspect communication in the pre-internet days was more of a challenge. The chief means was announcements prior to any run. But there was also a monthly newsletter (which required typing copying and mailing) and a telephone tree for emergency announcements (rarely used). There was a standing ad placed in Just Out (Portland’s gay paper at the time) which listed the location and time of our Tuesday night run. And we did have business cards which listed details about the group (including a PO Box) which members could give out to anyone they should meet who might be interested in a gay running group. It was suspected that many cards were given out with members personal phone numbers on the back to men they might want to meet again socially. Good day. Thank you for this potential opportunity. As someone who has lives the last 25 years in my city and a runner of 22 years I proudly sit here representing our new local run club. Our new but growing run club (Tempo Training Run Club) was initially born in efforts to help provide a safe place for our local valley women to run together. Many of our active female community have experienced and continue to experience harassment especially when running alone. So at the beginning of the year I decided enough if enough. As a passionate runner myself who run the same roads and trail who saw and continue see the same runners daily I knew it was time to act. So my meets up started and since then have blossomed. Over time our female runners started bringing their families and friends and our small women leg run meets up grew. We officially became a local run club about 2 months ago but since January our numbers went from 3-5 runners to now about 20 consistent group runners. The valley is home to 24 00 residents and hundred are runners themselves but due to the lack of running clubs many runners will drive 45-60 min out of the valley to meet up with LA running clubs. Since our start we have hosted local mural runs to help promote our city artists hosted ladies led run to promote safety and educate our community about harassment have hosted trail runs and introduced our local states parks to residents who have never visited our local mountains. Since our inception the community has logged 48 hours of running ~240 miles of running. My mission as a community leader and health care provider is to invest into this team and work with local officials to open up a local track and provide more training resources to our residents offer free coaching to people who would otherwise not be able to afford it. I did not create this club to make money to clout I created this club to help all the valley residents who want to try running or who want to PR or run their first 5k. I want to provide a safe heaven to folks and promote a healthier lifestyle a solid supportive community and sense of connection to their city. I would use this much needed grant to help provide monthly free entries to local races team shirts the year fee to use a local track and offer track work outs to our valley runners. Onyx Rising Crew ORC is Chicago’s first and only Black climbers meetup located on the Southside. It is a space where all bodies and all genders are welcomed and celebrated. ORC is a free outdoor space that rejects fatphobia tends to one’s mental wellbeing and welcome all participation levels with a goal of getting present in your body rather than weight loss. ORC is a space for Black folks to set down our daily stressors and crises dispel doubts of skill and strength and affirm our existences despite the multitude of oppressive systems at play.. Additionally all of the climbing gyms in Chicago are located on the Northside within just a few miles of each other with inaccessible membership fees and/or lengthy waitlists for sliding scale membership. Due to Chicago being one of the most racially segregated cities in the United States trekking to the Northside from the Southside using public transportation and/or biking is not only a minimum of an hour commute with the cities’ disinvestment in maintaining bike lanes and public transportation in predominantly Black neighborhoods but it also is not the safest and/or most welcoming trip for Black folks. Therefore ORC is creating a uniquely necessary climbing space in the Southside at an underutilized man-made public climbing wall while creating an opportunity for Black folks to become lifelong climbers and experience joy together. ORC is creating an outdoor world where Black folks can collectively breathe easy. After only a few meetups ORC has bloomed from 5 folks to 10. Most of the provided climbing gear is my personal gear supplemented by a few borrowed items from climbing friends which allows this to be a free meetup where no experience and/or gear is required. However more gear is needed to sustain this growth and to usher Black folks into becoming climbers outside of ORC. Funding from Gnarly Sports Nutrition would support our monthly meetups by financially supporting Black climbers in acquiring their own personal climbing gear paying the Black climbing volunteers who have brought ORC to life thus far and supporting transportation to the meetups. While this public climbing wall is on the Southside it is located in a sparse public transportation area that is difficult to travel to without a car and/or through using an expensive ride sharing app. It would roughly cost $5 000 to meet the aforementioned needs: $2 500 for providing equipment to 10 climbers $2 000 for the organizers’ stipends for the remaining Midwest climbing season and $500 for local transportation. With an amount of money at this magnitude ORC leadership would organize an all expense-paid weekend climbing trip to our local Wisconsin crags such as Devil’s Lake and/or Governor Dodge. This would allow The Crew to test their skills on real rock. The funding would be used for traveling expenses climbing and camping gear meals and organizers’ stipends. Ideally ORC would love to grow this event into an annual staple for Midwestern Black climbers. With any remaining funds ORC would organize smaller field trip-like engagements with other outdoor recreational activities and sports such as canoeing and jiu-jitsu. By being in its formative stages ORC has endless potential to continue expanding. Thus Gnarly Sports Nutrition could undoubtedly bolster our growth by lessening the financial barrier of outdoor recreational activities and sports which would lead to more Black folks accessing the outdoors and y’all would be supporting a Black-led and Black-centered space. tw_user 150 Weeks 248 Votes

ORC is creating an outdoor world where Black folks can collectively breathe easy. After only a few meetups ORC has bloomed from 5 folks to 10. Most of the provided climbing gear is my personal gear supplemented by a few borrowed items from climbing friends which allows this to be a free meetup where no experience and/or gear is required. However more gear is needed to sustain this growth and to usher Black folks into becoming climbers outside of ORC. Funding from Gnarly Sports Nutrition would support our monthly meetups by financially supporting Black climbers in acquiring their own personal climbing gear paying the Black climbing volunteers who have brought ORC to life thus far and supporting transportation to the meetups. While this public climbing wall is on the Southside it is located in a sparse public transportation area that is difficult to travel to without a car and/or through using an expensive ride sharing app. It would roughly cost $5 000 to meet the aforementioned needs: $2 500 for providing equipment to 10 climbers $2 000 for the organizers’ stipends for the remaining Midwest climbing season and $500 for local transportation. With an amount of money at this magnitude ORC leadership would organize an all expense-paid weekend climbing trip to our local Wisconsin crags such as Devil’s Lake and/or Governor Dodge. This would allow The Crew to test their skills on real rock. The funding would be used for traveling expenses climbing and camping gear meals and organizers’ stipends. Ideally ORC would love to grow this event into an annual staple for Midwestern Black climbers. With any remaining funds ORC would organize smaller field trip-like engagements with other outdoor recreational activities and sports such as canoeing and jiu-jitsu. By being in its formative stages ORC has endless potential to continue expanding. Thus Gnarly Sports Nutrition could undoubtedly bolster our growth by lessening the financial barrier of outdoor recreational activities and sports which would lead to more Black folks accessing the outdoors and y’all would be supporting a Black-led and Black-centered space.

Cornell Cycling is the official student-run cycling club at Cornell University. As a member of the executive board myself I can say that it is our club's mission to share its love for cycling with all sorts of students ranging from high level racers to those who have never sat on a bicycle. We have rides of all levels to which all are invited and we try to host fun events on campus to draw attention to the sport such as the "Giro de Cornell". Bottom line: although we race as a collegiate team it is our main priority to bring others along for the ride regardless of skill or experience. We would prioritize the money for buying beginner-level road bikes that we could lend out to curious new cyclists given that the bike is a high barrier of entry for many. The 3 Bros Running Company's goal is to bring big city racing to smaller towns around Texas. We live 2 hours from Houston and many drive there because they want that big city race feeling and all the things that go along with a big race such as chip timing, food, custom bibs, Start/Finish line, AG awards, and more. The 3 Bros Running Company wants to keep our runners here to run big local races and hopefully a half marathon one day. Mission Trails Utah is dedicated to trails advocacy planning funding and construction in needed areas throughout the state. Vision Trails Utah seeks to enhance the quality of life for Utah’s citizens invigorate local economies and provide sustainable outdoor recreation for residents and visitors to the state. Based in Salt Lake City Trails Utah is a 501(c)(3) dedicated to trail design planning funding building and advocacy here in the Wasatch and throughout Utah. Our organization acts as a facilitator – developing stakeholder relations working with municipalities non-profits federal agencies community councils and others to bring trails to our community members. We are committed to communicating the many ways trails help create healthy vibrant communities and seek to educate trail users about the best practices for ensuring safe courteous and pleasurable trail experiences for all. Trails offer the benefits of mental and physical health as proven by numerous studies. Mentally trails allow for time to unwind focus problem-solve think creatively and cope with anxiety and depression. Physically trail activity helps improve cardiovascular and muscle fitness increase metabolism improve digestion and improve sleep. Everyone deserves these benefits. Trails Utah finds it extremely important to make trails accessible to the wider community including those with disabilities. With available technology and individual grants to purchase equipment there is an ever-growing community of adaptive mountain bikers in Utah. However in order to use trails much needs to be considered in the design building modification and maintenance process. There are many existing trails needing work to better accessibility. To this end Trails Utah is working on two projects: TU AxS (Access) Project and Spring Hollow Trail System. First is our AxS Project is a partnership with Wasatch Adaptive Sports National Ability Center and US Forest Service. It focuses on modifying existing trails in the Wasatch removing obstacles such as large rocks roots and downed trees as well as widening sections of trail and switchback turns to allow for 3-wheeled adaptive bike use. We have prioritized two trails to start both in Millcreek Canyon: Dog Lake Trail and a section of the Great Western Trail. We have completed a walk / ride-through with partners and adaptive riders compiled a detailed list and imagery of locations where modifications are needed are working on prioritizing that list and are now seeking funding to support the endeavor. As a result of our efforts the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest is interested in integrating accessibility into their 2024 Master Plan. And Trails Utah has invited Wally Lee an adaptive athlete to join our board and help guide us in our efforts towards better trail accessibility. Secondly (though not lastly) is our Spring Hollow Trail System project developing over 50 miles of trail in the Pine Valley Ranger District. Over _____ miles of this system are being constructed with accessibility in mind and as the system is higher in elevation than the surrounding area will offer a great escape from the summer heat for a lot of hikers runners and bikers. And in addition to the inclusivity of this system it has other benefits. It is being built with NICA (National Interscholastic Cycling Association) races in mind so junior high and high school students involved in mountain biking will have a new location to hold their annual races which bring in thousands of spectators. There will be camping bathroom and parking infrastructure built into the site. We are a 501.c.3 nonprofit with the mission of helping LA's underserved youth reach new heights through mountain sports and activities! Our weekly group runs are to build community and we are partnering with two local high schools to help fundraise for the Students Run LA program where they will run the LA Marathon. Funds would do to directly help high school students with gear and training resources for the LA Marathon. We are also plannnig to put on our own timed trail event in the fall! Awesome Racing Collective (ARC) is a member-driven bicycle racing team in Indianapolis, IN. Cycling is and has always been a sport that favors the wealthy, as access to high quality racing bikes, sanctioned events, team memberships and racing apparel can carry a significant financial burden and be cost prohibitive to many. ARC aims to partly bridge that gap to help develop talented riders that may otherwise go unsupported due to these challenges. Our goal is to offset some of these costs by raising funds to help team members with riding apparel, race entries (when possible), and provide no-cost membership while operating the team as a democratic collective. In the future, we hope to be able to assist team members with costs of repairs and replacements due to crashes, bring on more riders and possibly even host races where we have the freedom to make our events more inclusive. Within ARC, we want every member to have a voice, be supported and have complete autonomy. Equally important, at the core of this team is a desire to improve our local community through outreach and service, as this provides a higher purpose to the entire endeavor. Getting women and BIPOC communities on bikes and seeing that EVERYONE interested in cycling feels safe and accepted is integral to our goal of making cycling more inclusive for all. We have had a significant amount of people since initially launching our first tiny activity group 7 years ago start and learn how to run ride bicycles hike rock climb kayak and more! Some of these first-timers have went on to lead their own mini groups and teach others. We want to involve our entire community - we make it very clear that this is a community effort and not an effort in our business - in outdoor activities and fun! We aim to teach EVERYONE - all levels and ages - how to engage in running cycling and other outdoor activities. Our running group alone performs community park clean-ups and picnics once a month that are open to the public. We want to host a large and free event for the community that consists of all things outdoor fun. We will make use of the resources we have (basketball hoop volleyball net set up a kayak for lessons race markers bicycles etc.) to set up stations where attendees can stop and learn the basics. We plan on having several team leaders on hand to hand out a list of local parks and community outdoors fun. Our biggest emphasis is to engage outsiders who are not familiar or may have anxiety about running cycling hiking or other outdoor events. We strive to include ALL levels disabilities and people in our community to engage in whatever activity or event is fun for them! The Sponsor is responsible for all aspects of the Contest. Participation in the Contest constitutes the participant's full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules, and Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest.
2. Eligibility: Contest (the "Contest") is only open to participants who are legal residents of United States, and who are 13+ at the time of entry (the “Entrant”). Employees of Gnarly Nutrition (the "Sponsor"), their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, suppliers and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible to participate in the Contest. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited or restricted by law, rule, or regulation.
3. Contest Period: Entries will be accepted online starting on Jul 12, 2022 at 12:00 AM and ending Aug 31, 2022 at 11:59 PM (the “Entry Period”). All online entries must be received by Aug 01, 2022 11:59 PM . All times are (GMT-07:00) Mountain Time (US & Canada). Entries submitted before or after the Entry Period will not be eligible. Sponsor’s computer is the official timekeeping device for the Contest.
4. How to Enter: The Contest must be entered by submitting an entry using the online form provided on this site. The entry must fulfill all Contest requirements, as specified, to be eligible to win a prize. Entries that are not complete or do not adhere to the rules or specifications may be disqualified at the sole discretion of Gnarly Nutrition. You may enter only once and you must fill in the information requested. 6. Judging: The Contest entries will be judged based on: Judging via voting. Judging will be conducted by General public is voting on this round of submissions.
7. Prizes: The approximate retail value of all prizes is $. The prizes are: $15,000 cash + Gnarly Nutrition product . Actual/appraised value may differ at time of prize award. The specifics of the prize shall be solely determined by the Sponsor. No cash or other prize substitution permitted except at Sponsor's discretion. The prize is nontransferable. Any and all prize related expenses, including without limitation any and all federal, state, and local taxes shall be the sole responsibility of the winner. No substitution of prize or transfer/assignment of prize to others or request for the cash equivalent by winners is permitted. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for Gnarly Nutrition to use winner's name, likeness, and entry for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
8. Winner Notification: Winners of the Contest will be notified via e-mail or phone to the e-mail address or phone number they entered into the Contest with within five (5) days following the winner selection. Gnarly Nutrition shall have no liability for a winner's failure to receive notices due to winners' spam, junk e-mail or other security settings or for winners' provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If the selected winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize within 15 days from the time award notification was sent, or fails to timely return a completed and executed declaration and releases as required, prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected. The receipt by winner of the prize offered in this Contest is conditioned upon compliance with any and all federal and state laws and regulations.
