To enter, visit a participating rooms + spaces store (each, a “Participating Store”) during the Contest Period, complete and submit the online Contest entry by scanning the QR Code found in store or enter online by visiting the contest website during the Contest Period. Only one (1) entry per person[BF1] during the Contest Period is permitted. If it is discovered that any person has used or attempted to use multiple ballots, names, and/or identities to enter the Contest then (in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor (as such term is defined below)) that person may be disqualified from the Contest and have all of that person’s entries voided.

This contest is open to residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) over the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence, except employees of Sponsor, its affiliates, its agents, its representatives and any of their family members of relatives or persons with whom they are domiciled.  This contest is subject to all Federal, Provincial and Municipal Laws and Regulations.

No purchase is necessary to enter the Contest.

There is one (1) prize (the “Prize” or “prize”) to be won in the Contest (across all Participating Stores). The Prize consists of the following:

One (1) $4,500 CDN cash prize awarded in the form of a cheque, e-transfer or other payment method of the Sponsor’s choosing, in its sole and absolute discretion; and

One (1) free virtual one-hour consultation for a room makeover with a designer selected by the Sponsor (valued at $500). An in-store design consultation may be offered at the discretion of the sponsor and may be filmed. Winner must take part in the design consultation within one-month of being notified as the winner. Time will need to be agreed upon by rooms + spaces.

The approximate total Prize value is $5,000 CDN.

The sponsor of the Contest is Toys “R” Us (Canada) Ltd., c.o.b. rooms + spaces (the “Sponsor”). [BF2] By participating in this Contest, all participants and prize winners agree that the Sponsor, its partnerships, subsidiaries and affiliates, its promotional agencies, other agents and representatives and each of such entities’ respective officers, directors, agents and employees (the “Released Parties”) are not responsible or liable for any injury, loss, illness, litigation or damage that may occur from participation in the promotion or acceptance, possession, use or misuse of each Prize. In the event that any dispute arises regarding the meaning or interpretation of these official rules, participants agree that the dispute shall be resolved by applying the laws of Ontario and that it shall be resolved by and within the courts of that province.

A random draw for the Prize will take place at 2777 Langstaff Rd Vaughan, ON L4K 4M5 at or around 10:00 am (local time) on September 5, 2023 from all eligible entries received. Winner will be contacted within five (5) business days of the draw date.

Chances of winning prizes are solely dependent upon the number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period at Participating Stores. In order to win the Prize, a selected entrant must first correctly answer a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question and sign the Sponsor’s written release form (the “Sponsor’s Release”) confirming compliance with these official Contest rules, acceptance of the prize as awarded and containing a publicity and liability release. The winning entrants will be notified by telephone and/or email within (5) business days of the draw taking place and must respond within one (1) week from when the initial notification is made.

If the potential Prize winner cannot be contacted within such time, or the skill-testing question cannot be administered, or if there is a return of any notification as undeliverable or if the Sponsor’s Release is not signed and returned in the manner directed by the Sponsor and within the time-frame specified on the Sponsor’s Release, then such potential Prize winner may, in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor, be disqualified (and, if disqualified, will forfeit all rights to the Prize) and the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion and time permitting, to randomly select an alternate potential Prize winner from among the remaining eligible entries received during the Contest Period (in which case the foregoing provisions of this section shall apply to such newly-selected potential Prize winner).

All entries are subject to verification at any time.  The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to require proof of identity and/or eligibility (in a form acceptable to the Sponsor – including, without limitation, government-issued photo identification) to participate in this Contest or be awarded the Prize. Failure to provide such proof to the satisfaction of the Sponsor in a timely manner may result in disqualification, at the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor.  In the event of a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the applicable entry will be declared made by the primary ac-count holder of the account associated with the e-mail address used to submit the entry. The “primary account holder” is the natural person assigned an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. The potential winner may be required to show proof of being the primary account holder.

All decisions of the Sponsor in relation to all aspects of this Contest are final and without appeal.

PRIZE CONDITIONS: All incidental costs and expenses not specifically referred to herein as part of the Prize description, including but not limited to technology and internet connection for the virtual design consultation (the “Expenses”) are the sole responsibilities of the Prize winner. The Prize winner shall not seek reimbursement for the Expenses from the Sponsor, and the Sponsor shall not be in any way responsible for any Expenses.

The Sponsor retains all rights to publish winner details as submitted to the Sponsor by the winning entrant at time of entry in the Contest, without consent or remuneration.  If the Sponsor chooses to publish any content submitted, only the first name of the entrant and their city of residence will be posted, in order to help protect their privacy.
