Rules

1. Eligibility: Sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes") is open only to those who sign up at the online sweepstakes page and who are at least 18+ years old at the time of entry. The sweepstakes is open to the legal residents of either The Netherlands or the United Kingdom and is void where prohibited by law. Employees of The July London Victoria Ltd. (the 'Sponsor' or 'The July'), as well as employees of its affiliates, group companies, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, suppliers, and any other entities involved in the administration of the Sweepstakes, are not eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes. Additionally, immediate family members (including spouses, parents, children, and siblings, whether biological, adoptive, or by marriage) and household members (persons residing at the same residential address for at least three months prior to the Sweepstakes start date) of any such employees are also ineligible. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.

The winner will be required to provide proof of residency in The Netherlands or the United Kingdom before claiming their prize. Acceptable forms of proof include a government-issued correspondence, utility bill, or any official document showing a matching address. Failure to provide such proof within five (5) business days of request will result in disqualification and selection of an alternate Winner.

2. Agreement to Rules: By participating, you agree to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Rules, and you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements set forth herein. In addition, you agree to accept the decisions of The July, as final and binding as it relates to the content. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.

3. Sweepstakes Period: Entries will be accepted online starting on or about Mar 01, 2025 at 12:00 AM and ending Mar 31, 2025 at 11:59 PM. All online entries must be received by Mar 31, 2025 at 11:59 PM. All times are (GMT+01:00) Amsterdam.

4. How to Enter: The Sweepstakes must be entered by submitting an entry using the online form provided on this site. No purchase or payment is required to participate or win, and making a purchase will not improve the chances of winning. Participants may have the opportunity to enhance their participation through various non-monetary actions. While some actions may involve making a booking, they are not mandatory for entry. The entry must fulfill all sweepstakes requirements, as specified, to be eligible to win a prize. Entries that are not complete or do not adhere to the rules or specifications may be disqualified at the sole discretion of The July. You may enter only once and you must fill in the information requested. You may not enter more times than indicated by using multiple e-mail addresses, identities or devices in an attempt to circumvent the rules. If you use fraudulent methods or otherwise attempt to circumvent the rules your submission may be removed from eligibility at the sole discretion of The July.

5. Prize: The total prize (the "Hotel Takeover”) consists of 25 stylish rooms, with a maximum occupancy of 2 persons per room, allowing for a total of 50 guests (the “Guests”). All Guests must be at least 18+ years old. The Hotel Takeover will be awarded to one (1) winner (the “Winner”), who may invite up to 49 guests of their choosing. The Winner and their Guests will receive accommodations for one night, a curated group dinner, free drinks all evening (subject to responsible service as determined by venue staff who reserve the right to refuse service to any guest at their discretion in accordance with applicable alcohol service laws and responsible drinking guidelines), and breakfast the next morning. The approximate retail value of all prizes is £8000. The specifics of room allocation and event details will be communicated to the Winner upon prize confirmation. You are not guaranteed to win a prize and your chance of winning is dependent on the total number of eligible entries received. Actual/appraised value may differ at time of prize award. The specifics of the Hotel Takeover shall be solely determined by the Sponsor. No cash or other prize substitution permitted except at Sponsor's discretion. The Hotel Takeover is nontransferable. Any and all prize related expenses, including without limitation any and all federal, state, and local taxes shall be the sole responsibility of the Winner. No substitution of prize or transfer/assignment of prize to others or request for the cash equivalent by Winners is permitted. By participating, the Winner and their Guests acknowledge that the promotional use of their name, likeness, and submitted entry is an essential condition of the Prize. By accepting the Hotel Takeover, the Winner and their Guests grant The July and its affiliates an irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use their name, likeness, and submitted entry for promotional, advertising, and commercial purposes in any media, without additional compensation or prior approval, except where prohibited by law. This includes, but is not limited to, use in online, print, and broadcast media. Participation in the Sweepstakes does not require consent for data processing essential to prize fulfilment. However, as the Prize is a marketing event, refusal to agree to these promotional terms will result in disqualification from the Prize. If required by applicable data protection or privacy laws, the Winner and their Guests may be asked to provide explicit consent for any additional processing of their personal data beyond what is necessary for participation and promotional use.

6. Odds: The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

7. Winner selection and notification: The Winner of the Sweepstakes will be selected in a random drawing under the supervision of the Sponsor. The Winner will be notified via e-mail to the e-mail address they entered the Sweepstakes within five (5) business days following the Winner selection. The July shall have no liability for a Winner's failure to receive notices due to Winners' spam, junk e-mail or other security settings or for Winners' provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If the selected Winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize within 15 days from the time award notification was sent, or fails to timely return a completed and executed declaration and releases as required, the Hotel Takeover may be forfeited and an alternate Winner selected. The receipt by Winner of the Hotel Takeover offered in this Sweepstakes is conditioned upon compliance with any and all federal and state laws and regulations. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY ANY WINNER (AT SPONSOR'S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN SUCH WINNER’S DISQUALIFICATION AS WINNER OF THE SWEEPSTAKES AND ALL PRIVILEGES AS WINNER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.

8. Rights Granted by you: By entering this Sweepstakes, you and your Guests grant The July, its affiliates, and partners the right to use your entry, including any statements or content submitted, for marketing and promotional purposes related to this Sweepstakes and its prize, in any media, now known or developed in the future. This may include use in advertising, public relations, and promotional materials, without further notice or compensation, except where restricted by law.

If you are selected as the Winner, you and your Guests acknowledge and accept that The July may use your name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, and biographical details in external communications about this Sweepstakes, including announcements, publicity, and promotional activities related to the Hotel Takeover. If you are not selected as the Winner, your personal details (such as name, portrait, and bio) will not be used externally, but your entry and statements may still be used for trade, advertising, public relations and promotional purposes without further compensation.

By participating in the Hotel Takeover, you grant The July, its affiliates, and authorised partners an unrestricted, perpetual, and royalty-free right to capture, record, and create content featuring you and any guests you bring to the event. This content may include, but is not limited to, photographs, videos, and other media recordings.

You acknowledge and accept that The July may use this content at any time, in any format, and across any platform globally for promotional, advertising, marketing, public relations, or commercial purposes related to this event and its associated activities, without limitation and without requiring further approval or compensation, except where restricted by law.

Where required by applicable data protection or privacy laws, The July may request explicit consent from the Winner and their guests before using identifiable personal data in external communications.

By accepting the Hotel Takeover, the Winner mustto inform all Guests that The July reserves the right to capture and use event content, including photographs, videos, and other media featuring Guests, for promotional, advertising, and commercial purposes related to this event.The Winner must confirm that all Guests accept this condition as a requirement of participation.

If a guest does not consent to being featured in media, they must notify The July in writing at least 48 hours before the event. The July will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests but cannot guarantee full exclusion from event recordings, given the nature of live and public event coverage.

9. Terms: The July reserves the right, in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes should it determine that a virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention, fraud or other causes beyond its control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes. In such a case, The July may select the Winner from all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by The July. The July reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or website or violates these Terms & Conditions.

The July reserves the right to take reasonable measures to maintain the integrity of the Sweepstakes, to void votes for any reason, including, but not limited to; multiple entries from the same user from different IP addresses; multiple entries from the same computer in excess of that allowed by sweepstakes rules; or the use of bots, macros or scripts or other technical means for entering. Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage any web site or undermine the legitimate operation of the sweepstakes may result in disqualification and legal action. The July reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of Liability: By entering you agree to release and hold harmless The July and its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from (i) such entrant's participation in the Sweepstakes and/or their acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize or any portion thereof, (ii) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunctioning of any computer, cable, network, hardware or software; (iii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions or telephone or Internet service; (iv) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Promotion; (v) electronic or human error which may occur in the administration of the Promotion or the processing of entries. Nothing in these terms shall exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

11. Disputes: THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF ENGLAND AND WALES, WITHOUT RESPECT TO CONFLICT OF LAW DOCTRINES. As a condition of participating in this Sweepstakes, participant agrees that any and all disputes which cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes, shall be resolved individually, without recourse to any form of collective action, exclusively before the courts of England and Wales, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances will participant be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including reasonable attorneys' fees, other than participant's actual out-of-pocket expenses (i.e. costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes), and participant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.

13. Winner: For the name of the Winner, please contact us at marketing@thejuly.com  and in the body of the email type 'Please e-mail me the Winner' for The July Sweepstakes. After the sweepstake, The July will also announce the winner via Instagram if the winner has been confirmed within the agreed-upon timeframe. The July will not disclose any personal data beyond what is legally permissible and will handle all requests in compliance with applicable data protection regulations.

14. Sponsor: The Sponsor of the Sweepstakes is The July London Victoria Ltd., ℅ TMFGlobal Services, 13th Floor, One Angel Court, London EC2R 7HJ, United Kingdom.

15. By participating in this promotion, you acknowledge that it is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or affiliated with Meta, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, or Google. These platforms bear no responsibility for this promotion. All information provided by participants is collected solely by The July and exclusively for the administration of this promotion in accordance with applicable data protection laws as well as the Sweepstakes rules.

16: Event Date & Location

The Hotel Takeover event will take place during the official opening week of The July London Victoria in Summer 2025. The exact date will be determined by The July and communicated to the Winner as soon as possible. The Winner must be available to attend the event on the confirmed date, as the prize is tied to this occasion and is not transferable to another date. The July will provide sufficient advance notice to the Winner to ensure availability. If the Winner is unable to attend the event on the specified date, the prize will be forfeited, and an alternate Winner will be selected.
