Competition Terms and Conditions

Promotions on this website are run by the Promoter: Safair Operations (Proprietary) Limited, trading as FlySafair, (reg. no. 2007/032915/07). Hereinafter referred to as “The Promoter”, “us”, “we”, or “our”. No purchase of products is required to enter this competition.

1. Who Can Enter:
   You are eligible to participate in this competition or promotion if:
   1. You are a natural person, at least 18 years old, and a permanent resident of South Africa, and
   2. You are NOT:
      1. A supplier of goods or services connected to this competition,
      2. A director, member, partner, employee, agent, or consultant to The Promoter, or any other entity directly or indirectly controlling or controlled by The Promoter,
      3. A family member (spouse, life partner, parent, child, brother, sister) or business partner of the persons mentioned above.
2. How to Enter:
   Navigate to the web-based entry form and supply the required details, to complete a first entry. Further entries may be earned by fulfilling certain actions outlined on the website such as, but not limited to, successfully referring other entries via social media or email, visiting our website, and sharing the promotion on social media.
3. Image Rights and Original Work Declaration:
   By entering this competition, you hereby warrant that any and all images uploaded by you are your original work and do not infringe upon any rights, including copyrights, of any third party. Furthermore, you grant The Promoter a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide license to use, reproduce, distribute, and display the uploaded images in connection with the competition and for any other promotional purposes, in any media format and through any media channel. You also agree to indemnify and hold The Promoter harmless from and against any claims brought forward by third parties regarding the use of the uploaded images.
4. Entry Fees:
   Participation in the promotions or competitions is completely free, and no entry fees are required.
5. By entering our competitions or promotions you consent that your email details may be stored for marketing activities. Any correspondence sent to you will have a clear opt-out should you wish to unsubscribe from marketing correspondence from The Promoter.
6. Notification of Winner(s):
   The winner will be notified via phone and email within 24 hours (South Africa Standard Time) of the competition's end date. The Promoter will attempt to contact the winner at least 3 times, however if The Promoter is unable to contact the winner within the 24 hours of the competition’s end date, the winner will forfeit his/her prize and The Promoter reserves the right to redraw such prize. The winner will be announced on The Promoter's Facebook page located at https://www.facebook.com/flysafair. The judge's decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into with a competition participant other than the winner.
7. Forfeit:
   A winner will forfeit his/her prize in the following situations:
   1. If they have already won a prize in this competition,
   2. If they fail to provide Participant Information within 24 hours of the request,
   3. If they are found to have breached any of the competition rules stated herein,
   4. If they fail to accept delivery of the prize after two delivery attempts by The Promoter,
   5. If it is unlawful for the winner to receive the prize.

In case of a forfeit, The Promoter reserves the right to select another winner from the remaining participants.

8. Use of Participant and Winner Information:
   By participating, you agree to the possible use of your Participant Information by The Promoter or a third-party nominated by The Promoter for the purpose of announcing the winner and facilitating prize delivery.
9. Unforeseen Events:
   In the event of unforeseen circumstances or causes beyond our reasonable control, we reserve the right to cancel this competition, or to change the competition rules at our discretion, or to change the prize at any time without notice to you.
10. The competition starts on 28 September 2023 and will close at 20:00 on 3 October 2023. Any entries received after the closing date will not be considered.
11. The Prize:
    2 x domestic return flights which includes airport taxes but excludes extras such as bags, priority boarding, changes, etc.
12. Rules:
    By participating in any competition, you agree to all the competition rules set out above, without exception. A copy of these competition rules is made available at https://www.flysafair.co.za.
13. Privacy Policy:
    By participating, you acknowledge that we may process personal information submitted or collected during the competition. The collection and processing of this information will be in accordance with our privacy policy, which can be found at https://www.flysafair.co.za/about-us/legal-ts-cs/privacy-policy.
