Altamont Company Official Sweepstakes Rules

NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE THE CHANCES OF WINNING.  VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.

1. Eligibility: The Altamont Company Veterans Day 2026 Sweepstakes. (the “Campaign” or “Sweepstakes”)  is open only to those who are 21 years of age or older as of the date of entry, legal residents of the 50 United States (excluding, without limitation, The District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and other US territories),  have a shipping address in The United States. and are legally entitled to possess the prize awarded. Employees of Altamont Company, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and suppliers, (collectively the “Employees”), and immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of Employees are not eligible to participate in the Campaign. The Campaign is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. 

The winner will be required to have a valid driver’s license or proof of identification and, (if prize is a firearm), must be legally entitled to possess a firearm of the type awarded in the state in which he or she resides.  Firearm prizes will be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) designated by the winner and winner will be required to complete a ATF Form 4473, pass a NICS background check, and comply with any all other federal, state or local laws or conditions required to lawfully take possession of the firearm. Failure to comply with any and all  requirements will result in a forfeiture of the prize.  Altamont Company will not be responsible for any and all fees charged by an FFL to facilitate transfer of a firearm prize.  Any such fees shall be at the winner’s sole expense.  

This offer is void where prohibited by law and subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.  YOU ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS SWEEPSTAKES IF YOU ARE NOT LOCATED IN THE UNITED STATES.

2. Agreement to Rules: By participating, the  entrant  (“You,”  “Your” or “Entrant”) agrees to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Rules, and You represent and warrant that You meet each and every one of the eligibility requirements. In addition, You agree to accept the decisions of Altamont Company or its designee relating to these Rules, the prizes awarded and the content of this Campaign.

3. Campaign Period: Entries will be accepted online starting on August 21, 2026 at 12:01 am CST (“Game-Start”) and ending November 11, 2026 at 11:59 pm CST (“Game-End”). All online entries must be received by November 11, 2026 at 11:59 pm CST.

4. How to Enter: Apply on line at: https://swee.ps/lZkoaQQvQ, complete an Official Entry Form, and submit it to the independent vote tallying service retained by Altamont Company (“Tallying Service”). The entry must fulfill all Campaign requirements, as specified in these Rules and as per the Official Entry Form and rules, to be eligible to win a prize. Entries that are incomplete or do not adhere to these Rules or requirements may be disqualified at the sole discretion of Altamont Company. The Tallying Service will facilitate the accumulation of additional entries  for an Entrant that encourages others to enter this Sweepstakes through a provided Internet link (“Referral Points”).  Referral Points are limited one per referral and  20 per household per Campaign.   The Altamont Company (“Sponsor”) shall not be responsible for lost, late, incomplete, garbled, stolen, misdirected, returned, non-deliverable, illegible entries, unavailable network connections or transmissions, or problems of any kind, whether mechanical, human, or electronic, accidental or malicious.  All entries are the property of Altamont Company and no entries will be acknowledged or returned. Unless specifically authorized by these Rules, entries are limited to one per household .  The prize winner will be randomly selected on or about November 11, 2026 (“Designated Selection Date”).  Prize winning households are prohibited from winning another Sweepstakes sponsored by Altamont Company for a period of two years after winning, based on Designated Selection Date. 

5. Prizes: The Winner(s) of the Campaign (the “Winner”) will receive one (1) Colt 1911 .45 ACP D-Day Commemorative AAA, custom engraved by Altamont Engraving, with a current retail value of approximately $2,999.00, or another prize determined in accordance with these Rules . The actual/appraised value of the prize may differ at time of prize award. Sponsor reserves the right to change the specifics of the prize, including type, model and configuration to a prize of approximately equal value. No cash or other prize substitution shall be permitted except at Altamont Company's discretion. The prize is non-transferable. Any and all prize-related expenses, including without limitation any and all federal, state, and/or local taxes, shall be the sole responsibility of Winner. No substitution of prize or transfer/assignment of prize to others or request for the cash equivalent by Winner is permitted. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for Altamont Company to use Winner’s name, likeness, and entry for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.  If the winner cannot accept the prize for any reason, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner selected as provided in these rules.  No prize transfers, assignments, cash equivalents, or substitutions will be allowed.  All expenses not specifically stated and all applicable taxes are the sole responsibility of the Winner and an IRS Form1099 will be issued to the winner for the full value of the prize.  If the prize is a firearm, Winners from states with restrictions on firearm possession may receive a state compliant substitute at the sole discretion of the Altamont Company.  Should no such product be available, Altamont Company reserves the right to award the prize to an alternate winner selected as provided in these Rules.  Under no circumstance will Altamont  ship a firearm where such shipment, or possession of the firearm by the recipient, will violate any federal, state or local law or regulation.

6. Odds: The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

7. Winner Selection and Notification: Winner, and any alternate winner if required, (“Winner”), will be selected by a random drawing conducted by the Tallying Service retained by Altamont Company. The decisions of the Tallying Service as to the identity of the Winner are final & binding in all respects. Winner will be notified by email within five (5) days following selection of Winner. Altamont Company shall have no liability for Winner’s failure to receive notices due to spam, junk e-mail or other security settings or for Winner’s provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If Winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize within ten (10) days from the time award notification was sent, or fails to timely return all required documentation as required, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate Winner selected. 

The Winner will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Publicity/Liability Release (except where prohibited by law) within thirty (30) days of notification in order to claim this prize.  The Winner’s Affidavit of Eligibility must be complete and include the Winner’s social security number.  The Winner’s social security number will be used solely to verify eligibility and for tax reporting purposes.  The information in the Winner’s Affidavit of Eligibility must be correct or he or she shall be disqualified.  If the Winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize within thirty (30) days of being notified of its availability, or fails to return the completed and executed Affidavit of Eligibility and Publicity/Liability Release as required, or if the Prize Notification is returned as undeliverable, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate Winner selected under the procedures provided in these Rules.  

Receipt by Winner of the prize offered in this Campaign is conditioned upon compliance with any and all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY WINNER (AT ALTAMONT COMPANY‘S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN WINNER’S DISQUALIFICATION . AND ALL PRIVILEGES AS WINNER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.

8. Rights Granted by You: By entering this Campaign, You understand and agree that Altamont Company, anyone acting on behalf of Altamont Company, and Altamont Company’s licensees, successors, and assigns, shall have the right, where permitted by law, to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use in any media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity and throughout the World, without limitation, your entry, name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, image, statements about the Campaign, and biographical information for news, publicity, information, trade, advertising, public relations, and promotional purposes without any further compensation, notice, review, or consent. 

9. Terms & Conditions: Altamont Company reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Campaign  should a virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or other cause beyond Altamont Company’s control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Campaign or for any other reason. In such case, Altamont Company or the Tallying Service may select the Winner from eligible entries, otherwise amend or revise these Rules, or cancel the Campaign, as appropriate.  Altamont Company reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Campaign or website or violates these Rules. Altamont Company has the right, in its sole discretion, to maintain the integrity of the Campaign, to void entries for any reason, including, but not limited to: multiple entries from the same user from different IP addresses in violation of Campaign Rules; multiple entries from the same computer in excess of that allowed by Campaign rules; or the use of bots, macros, scripts, or other technical means for entering. Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Campaign may be a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such attempt be made, Altamont Company reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of Liability: By entering, You agree to release and hold harmless Altamont Company and its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers, shareholders, and directors (hereafter referred to as “Sponsor and related entities”) from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from: (i) such Your  participation in the Campaign and Your acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize or any portion thereof; (ii) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunction of any computer, cable, network, hardware, or software, or other mechanical equipment; (iii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, telephone, or Internet service; (iv) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Campaign; (v) electronic or human error in the administration of the Campaign or the processing of entries.  By entering this Sweepstakes or accepting the prize, all participants release, and agree to indemnify and hold harmless, including but not limited to costs and attorney’s fees, the Sponsor and related entities, one and all, from all actions and liability (including, but not limited to, attorney’s fees and costs) due to injury, loss or damage to person or property, including death, caused in whole or in part, directly or indirectly from the user, misuse, acceptance, or possession of the prize or participation in this Sweepstakes.   Winner waives the right 1) to assert as a cost of winning the prize any and all costs of verification and redemption or travel to redeem said prize, and 2) to any liability claim which might arise from redeeming or seeking to redeem said prize. Sponsor (i) makes no warranty, guarantee or representation of any kind concerning any prize; and (ii) disclaims any implied warranty. If any provision of this Sweepstakes shall be deemed to violate any federal, state or municipal law, it shall be amended to conform to such law and all other provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

11. Disqualification: Altamont Company reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or web site; to be acting in violation of the Official Rules; to be acting in violation of the terms of use of the web site by cheating, hacking, deception or other unfair playing practices (including the use of automated entry programs), or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass Sponsor or any other person.

12.  Disputes: THIS CAMPAIGN IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, WITHOUT RESPECT TO CONFLICT OF LAW DOCTRINES. As a condition of participating in this Campaign, You agree that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Campaign, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located Champaign County, Illinois having jurisdiction. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances shall You  be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waive all rights to, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including reasonable attorney’s fees, other than Your  actual out-of-pocket expenses (i.e. costs associated with entering this Campaign). You further waive all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.

14. Winners List: To obtain a copy of the Winner’s name or a copy of these Official Rules, mail your request ,along with a stamped, self-addressed envelope, to: Altamont Company, 901 N Church Street, Thomasboro, IL 61878. Requests must be received no later than December 31, 2026.

15. Sponsor: The Sponsor of the Campaign is Altamont Company, 901 N Church Street, Thomasboro, IL 61878. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to discontinue this Sweepstakes or modify these Official Rules without prior notification. Any such changes will be available at www.altamontco.com. 

16. Facebook/Instagram: The Campaign hosted by Altamont Company is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram.

17.  Opt-in: By participation in this Sweepstakes, You are opting-in to receive promotional email and newsletters from Altamont Company and its affiliated brands. If at any time you feel our emails are no longer serving you, you may unsubscribe by clicking a single link in all emails we send you. We will never disclose your email address to anyone.

CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER PERSON TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS’ FEES) FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT OR PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING SEEKING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.

Sponsor, prize suppliers, the Tallying Service, and all production agencies shall not be responsible for technical, pictorial, typographical or editorial errors or omissions in any marketing materials or these Official Rules.
