Rules

OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

By entering the Serrano’s Furniture 40th Anniversary Room Makeover Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”), each entrant agrees to comply with and be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Serrano’s Furniture (“Sponsor”), which shall be final and binding in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes.

1. Sponsor

The Sweepstakes is sponsored by Serrano’s Furniture, located at:

Serrano’s Furniture
851 E Bardsley Ave
Tulare, CA 93274
https://www.serranosfurnituregalleries.com/

The Sponsor is responsible for administering the Sweepstakes, selecting potential winners and awarding the prizes described in these Official Rules.

2. Eligibility

The Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of Tulare County, Kings County, Kern County or Fresno County, California, who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry.

Entrants must maintain their primary residence within one of the eligible counties throughout the Sweepstakes Period and through the date on which any applicable prize is awarded. Sponsor may require proof of age, identity and eligible county residency before awarding a prize.

Employees, officers, directors and representatives of Serrano’s Furniture, its affiliates, participating vendors, advertising agencies, promotional agencies and any other individuals or companies involved in the development or administration of the Sweepstakes are not eligible to enter. Immediate family members and household members of these individuals are also ineligible.

For purposes of these Official Rules, “immediate family members” include spouses, domestic partners, parents, stepparents, children, stepchildren, siblings, stepsiblings and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside. “Household members” means individuals who share the same residence for at least three months during the calendar year.

The Sweepstakes is void outside Tulare, Kings, Kern and Fresno Counties and wherever prohibited or restricted by law.

3. Sweepstakes Period

The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time on October 1, 2026, and ends at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on October 31, 2026 (“Sweepstakes Period”).

Sponsor’s computer system shall serve as the official timekeeping device for the Sweepstakes. Entries received before or after the Sweepstakes Period will not be eligible.

4. How to Enter

During the Sweepstakes Period, eligible individuals may enter by:

1. Visiting [insert official sweepstakes webpage] and completing the online entry form; or

2. Scanning an official Sweepstakes QR code displayed at a participating Serrano’s Furniture location and completing the online entry form.

Entrants must provide all requested information, which may include:

• First and last name

• Residential address

• Email address

• Telephone number

• ZIP code

• Preferred Serrano’s Furniture location

• The room the entrant would like to update

After completing the required fields, the entrant must submit the entry form according to the instructions provided.

There is no charge to enter, although an entrant’s regular internet-access, mobile-data or messaging charges may apply.

A visit to a Serrano’s Furniture location is not required to enter. Purchasing merchandise, requesting financing, visiting a store or agreeing to receive marketing messages will not improve an entrant’s odds of winning.

5. Entry Limit

Limit one entry per person for the entire Sweepstakes Period, regardless of the method of entry or the number of email addresses, telephone numbers or devices available to the entrant.

Multiple entrants may not share the same email address or telephone number. Any attempt by an individual to submit more than one entry using multiple identities, email addresses, telephone numbers, automated systems or any other method may result in the disqualification of all entries associated with that individual.

Incomplete, inaccurate, late, misdirected, fraudulent, automated, mechanically reproduced or otherwise noncompliant entries may be disqualified at the Sponsor’s discretion.

Entries become the property of the Sponsor upon submission and will not be acknowledged or returned.

6. Marketing Consent

Entering the Sweepstakes does not require an entrant to subscribe to promotional email or text messages.

Any request for email or SMS marketing consent will be presented separately from the Sweepstakes entry and will not be preselected or made a condition of entry. Agreeing to receive promotional communications will not improve an entrant’s chances of winning.

Entrants who voluntarily provide marketing consent may withdraw that consent in accordance with the instructions contained in the applicable email or text message.

7. Weekly Prize Drawings

Sponsor will conduct three weekly random drawings. Two potential winners will be selected in each weekly drawing, for a total of six weekly winners.

Each weekly drawing will include all eligible entries received from the beginning of the Sweepstakes Period through the applicable weekly entry deadline.

Eligible entries that do not win a weekly prize will automatically carry forward into subsequent weekly drawings and the grand-prize drawing. A weekly winner may not win another weekly prize but will remain eligible for the $4,000 grand-prize drawing.

Entries received after the third weekly deadline remain eligible for the grand-prize drawing.

8. Grand-Prize Drawing

One potential grand-prize winner will be selected in a random drawing conducted on or about November 3, 2026, from all eligible entries received during the entire Sweepstakes Period.

Winning a weekly prize does not disqualify an entrant from winning the grand prize.

The potential grand-prize winner may be publicly announced on or after November 6, 2026, provided the potential winner has responded, supplied all required documentation and been confirmed as eligible.

9. Prizes and Approximate Retail Values

The following prizes will be awarded:

Weekly prizes

Six winners will each receive one $400 Serrano’s Furniture shopping credit.

Approximate retail value of each weekly prize: $400
Total approximate retail value of all weekly prizes: $2,400

Grand prize

One winner will receive one $4,000 Serrano’s Furniture Room Makeover shopping credit.

Approximate retail value of the grand prize: $4,000

Total prize value

The total approximate retail value of all seven prizes is $6,400.

The description “Room Makeover” is promotional language referring to the $4,000 Serrano’s Furniture merchandise credit. It does not include interior-design services, remodeling, construction, painting, flooring, electrical work or any other service unless expressly approved in writing by the Sponsor.

10. Shopping-Credit Conditions

Each prize will be issued as a Serrano’s Furniture shopping credit and is subject to the following conditions:

• The credit must be redeemed at a participating Serrano’s Furniture location.

• The credit expires 90 days after the winner is officially notified, unless a different expiration date is provided in writing by the Sponsor.

• The credit may be applied only toward eligible furniture or merchandise offered by Serrano’s Furniture.

• The credit is nontransferable and may not be sold, exchanged or redeemed for cash.

• No cash will be returned if the merchandise selected costs less than the available credit.

• Any unused balance will be forfeited unless otherwise stated by the Sponsor in writing.

• The winner is responsible for any purchase amount exceeding the prize credit.

• Applicable sales tax, delivery charges, assembly charges, upgraded-delivery fees and other charges are the winner’s responsibility unless the Sponsor expressly agrees otherwise in writing.

• Prize credits may not be combined with another certificate, credit or promotion if prohibited by the terms of that offer.

• Merchandise is subject to availability.

• Normal Serrano’s Furniture merchandise policies apply.

• Returns or exchanges of merchandise purchased with a prize credit will not result in a cash refund. Any authorized return will be handled according to the Sponsor’s applicable store-credit and return policies.

No prize substitution, transfer or cash redemption is permitted. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if an advertised prize becomes unavailable for reasons outside the Sponsor’s reasonable control.

11. Odds of Winning

The odds of winning a weekly prize depend on the total number of eligible entries received by the applicable weekly deadline.

The odds of winning the grand prize depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period.

A purchase, store visit or agreement to receive marketing messages will not improve the odds of winning.

12. Winner Notification and Verification

Potential winners will be contacted using the telephone number or email address submitted with their entry.

Each potential winner must respond within 72 hours after the Sponsor’s first notification attempt unless the Sponsor provides a different deadline in writing.

Before receiving a prize, a potential winner may be required to:

• Provide valid government-issued identification;

• Provide proof of primary residency in an eligible county;

• Sign an affidavit or declaration of eligibility;

• Sign a liability release;

• Complete any tax documentation required by law; and

• Complete any other documentation reasonably necessary to verify eligibility and administer the prize.

A potential winner is not an official winner until the Sponsor verifies the individual’s eligibility and confirms compliance with these Official Rules.

A potential winner may be disqualified and an alternate winner may be selected if the potential winner:

• Cannot be contacted;

• Does not respond by the stated deadline;

• Provides inaccurate or incomplete information;

• Cannot prove eligibility;

• Declines the prize;

• Fails to complete required documentation;

• Violates these Official Rules; or

• Has a prize notification returned as undeliverable.

If necessary, an alternate potential winner may be chosen by random drawing from the remaining eligible entries.

13. Taxes

All federal, state and local taxes arising from acceptance or use of a prize are solely the winner’s responsibility.

The Sponsor may require a winner to provide a completed IRS Form W-9 or other tax information when required by law. The Sponsor may issue an IRS Form 1099 or other tax document when applicable.

Winners should consult their own tax advisers regarding the tax consequences of accepting a prize.

14. Publicity

Sponsor may request permission to photograph, film or interview a winner for promotional purposes. Where legally required, any use of a winner’s name, image, likeness, voice, statements or biographical information will be subject to a separate written authorization.

Declining an optional publicity request will not affect an otherwise eligible winner’s right to receive a prize.

15. Privacy

Personal information collected in connection with the Sweepstakes will be used to administer the promotion, verify eligibility, contact potential winners, award prizes, prevent fraud and satisfy legal or regulatory obligations.

Information will otherwise be handled in accordance with the Sponsor’s privacy policy, available at https://www.serranosfurnituregalleries.com/policies.html.

Sponsor may share entrant information with service providers or professional advisers assisting with Sweepstakes administration, winner verification, legal compliance or prize fulfillment. Sponsor will not treat entry into the Sweepstakes as consent to receive marketing text messages or emails unless the entrant separately provides that consent.

16. General Conditions

Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant whom it reasonably believes has:

• Tampered with the entry process or Sweepstakes operation;

• Submitted false or misleading information;

• Attempted to obtain more entries than permitted;

• Used automated entry methods;

• Interfered with another entrant;

• Acted in an abusive, threatening or disruptive manner; or

• Violated these Official Rules or applicable law.

Sponsor reserves the right, subject to applicable law, to cancel, suspend, modify or terminate the Sweepstakes if fraud, technical failures, unauthorized intervention, natural disaster, public-health emergency, legal restriction or another cause outside the Sponsor’s reasonable control compromises the integrity or proper administration of the Sweepstakes.

If the Sweepstakes is terminated early, Sponsor may select the winners from among the eligible entries received before the action requiring termination, provided doing so is practical and lawful.

Any attempt to damage a website, interfere with the Sweepstakes or undermine its lawful operation may violate civil or criminal law. Sponsor reserves the right to pursue available legal remedies.

17. Technical Problems

Sponsor is not responsible for entries or communications that are lost, late, incomplete, corrupted, misdirected, delayed or not received because of:

• Internet or mobile-service interruptions;

• Website, server or platform failures;

• Hardware or software malfunctions;

• Email filtering or incorrect contact information;

• Transmission errors;

• Human error;

• Unauthorized intervention; or

• Other technical problems beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control.

Proof that an entry was submitted does not constitute proof that the Sponsor received or accepted it.

If a dispute arises concerning the identity of an entrant, Sponsor may regard the authorized account holder of the email address submitted with the entry as the entrant, subject to proof of eligibility.

18. Release and Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, entrants and winners agree to release and hold harmless Serrano’s Furniture and its owners, officers, directors, employees, affiliates, representatives, advertising agencies, promotional agencies, service providers and participating vendors from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs or expenses arising from or relating to:

• Participation in the Sweepstakes;

• Acceptance, possession, redemption, use or misuse of a prize;

• Technical failures or entry errors;

• Incorrect or inaccurate Sweepstakes information;

• Unauthorized human intervention;

• Printing, typographical or administrative errors; or

• Any injury, loss or damage allegedly caused by a prize or participation in the Sweepstakes.

Nothing in these Official Rules is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

19. Disputes and Governing Law

The Sweepstakes and these Official Rules are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

To the extent permitted by law, any dispute arising from or relating to the Sweepstakes or a prize shall be resolved individually and not through a class, consolidated or representative action.

Any legal proceeding that is permitted to proceed shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Tulare County, California, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Under no circumstances shall an entrant be entitled to recover punitive, incidental, consequential or special damages, attorneys’ fees or other damages beyond the entrant’s actual out-of-pocket expenses, except where such a limitation is prohibited by law.

20. No Affiliation With Social-Media Platforms

The Sweepstakes may be advertised through Facebook, Instagram or other social-media platforms. However, it is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Meta, Facebook, Instagram or any other social-media platform.

By entering, each entrant releases the applicable social-media platforms from claims arising from or relating to the Sweepstakes to the extent permitted by law.

Questions, comments and complaints regarding the Sweepstakes should be directed to Serrano’s Furniture and not to a social-media platform.

21. Winner List

To request the names of the confirmed winners, send a written request and a self-addressed, stamped envelope to:

Serrano’s Furniture 40th Anniversary Sweepstakes Winner List
851 E Bardsley Ave
Tulare, California 93274

Requests must be received by November 31, 2026.

Sponsor may also publish the confirmed winners’ first names, last initials and cities of residence at https://www.serranosfurnituregalleries.com, subject to applicable law.

22. Severability

If any provision of these Official Rules is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the fullest extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions shall remain in effect.

23. Acceptance of Official Rules

By submitting an entry, each entrant acknowledges that the entrant has read, understands and agrees to these Official Rules.

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID OUTSIDE TULARE, KINGS, KERN AND FRESNO COUNTIES AND WHEREVER PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW.
