Rules

ARIUM Presents: Sounds of Summer (“competition”) is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least thirteen (13) years of age at the time of entry and are a current resident of an ARIUM Living community at the beginning and through the conclusion of the competition. If a participant’s lease expires, he/she is evicted, or the community is disposed prior to the conclusion of the competition, he/she will forfeit any prize(s) and will be disqualified. No purchase is necessary to enter. The contest is void where prohibited by law. Employees, officers, and directors of ARIUM Living, their respective partners, agencies, related companies, and agents, as well as the immediate family (defined as parents, spouse, children, siblings, and grandparents), and same household members of such employee, officer, and director, are not eligible to enter.  All applicable federal state, and local laws and regulations apply.

Participants will submit a single video recording of themselves singing a song that will not exceed 4 minutes in length for round 1. The competition’s panel of judges will choose a winner in round 1 following each episode. The winner will be announced on ARIUM Living’s social channels prior to the next episode. For round 2, participants will submit a second song for the competition which will be aired in a single semi-final event. Public voting will be open to any resident of the United States. Five winners of round 2 will move on to the live in-person finale episode.

Each of the five (5) finalists will receive one month of free rent determined by their current lease. Each finalist will be flown to Atlanta for the finale. Airfare and hotel will be provided by ARIUM Living. Each finalist will perform live in-person during the finale episode and voting will be open to any resident of the United States during the finale episode. A winner will be selected live during the episode. The finale winner will receive an additional $1,500.

For the finale event, finalist participants are required to submit song choice at least 72 hours in advance, participate in a rehearsal the day before the show, participate in a sound check the day of rehearsal, and work with our host/judge Dave Fenley to improve their performance. Failure to to meet these requirements will result in disqualification. ARIUM Living reserves the right to request a specific or different song choice for the performance. You may use pre-recorded accompaniment for the performance but it must be original or non-copyprighted work. You may also have live accompaniment to your performance, but ARIUM Living will not be responsible for the travel expenses of other performers.

The odds of winning varies and will be determined by the number of participants from each ARIUM community.

Participants, by virtue of entering the competition, give their permission and consent to ARIUM Living to use their images, likeness, video footage, audio recordings, or photographs to appear on videos, television, or any other electronic or print media for advertising, news coverage, or other commercial use of our events.

ARIUM Living reserves the right to cancel the competition due to weather, number of entries, or any other circumstance deemed necessary.

ARIUM Living reserves the right to add/change additional competition days or alter the competition due to unforeseen circumstances.

Sportsmanlike behavior is expected at all times. Failure to display proper decorum could result in immediate disqualification. Sportsmanlike behavior encompasses cheating or gaming the voting during the competition. Participants may not purchase or trade anything of value in return for votes. ARIUM Living reserves the right to terminate the participation from the competition for unsportsmanlike behavior.

Winner is solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes and all unspecified expenses or fees associated with prize acceptance, receipt, and use. Prizes may not be substituted or transferred by any contest winner. ARIUM Living is not responsible for replacing prizes as a result of damage prior to, during, or after shipping or events beyond ARIUM Living’s control.

By entering the competition and, if applicable, receipt of any prize, each entrant and, as applicable, winner agrees to release and hold harmless ARIUM Living and its officers, directors, employees, associate companies, and agents from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in a contest or any competition-related activity.

ARIUM Living will collect personal data about entrants for purposes of administering the competition. By entering into the competition, entrants agree to ARIUM Living’s collection and usage of their personal information. ARIUM Living does not, and will not, disclose entrants’ personal information to non-affiliated third-parties.

Failure to comply with any published competition rules is grounds for immediate disqualification from the competition. ARIUM Living reserves the right to disqualify any entry not conforming to the rules of the promotion at any time. ARIUM Living and its competition and promotional partners assume no responsibility for entry fraud committed by any entrant. In the event it is determined that an ineligible entrant wins a prize, ARIUM Living reserves all rights to the ownership and return of the prize and all costs associated with remedying any prize award to an ineligible entry or entrant.
