At Carson Valley Middle School, we believe that students deserve safe, functional, and engaging spaces to learn and grow—both in the classroom and during their free time. However, our current recess and lunch areas are in need of upgrades.
Our basketball court is deteriorating and no longer serves as a safe, usable space for students to enjoy physical activity. Additionally, our lunch area lacks shade, leaving students exposed to the elements, and the stark, plain walls create a less-than-inviting atmosphere.
We are hoping to secure funding to improve these areas, providing our students with the safe and vibrant environment they deserve. Our plan includes:
• Upgrading our basketball court, creating a safe and functional space for sports and recreation.
• Installing shade structures over the lunch area, offering students protection from sun and heat.
• Painting a colorful mural on one of our large, bare walls to bring a sense of community and creativity.
• Purchasing new play equipment
