OFFICIAL RULES: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER.

Eligibility and Sponsorship:  This Indiana Family of Farmers 2017 Video Contest (“Contest”) is open only to legal residents of Indiana who are students in grades 6 through 12 in the 2016-2017 school year at time of entry.  Other restrictions apply.  Void where prohibited.  The sponsor is Indiana Family of Farmers (“Sponsor”), is a project between 18 organizations (“Sponsoring Organizations”) which can be found at http://www.indianafamilyoffarmers.com/about.html.  Employees of Sponsoring Organizations are not eligible to participate.   

Entry Period:  This Contest begins January 27, 2017 at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time (ET) and ends February 27, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. (“Entry Period”).  Video entry, Contestant Entry Form and completed IP, consent and talent release form (“Release Forms”) must be sent to ltaylor@indianasoybean.com.  Video entry, Contestant Entry Form and Release Forms must be received during the Entry Period to be a valid entry.

How to Enter:  During the Entry Period, upload completed video entry to ViralSweep site, Contestant Entry Form and Release Forms to ltaylor@indianasoybean.com.  There are two different categories: 6-8 Grade and 9-12 Grade.  Entrants should clearly indicate what category they qualify.  Entrants may only submit one (1) entry for the Contest. 

Video Requirements:

• The theme of the video is “What does the future of agriculture mean to you?”  Entrants must portray what the future of agriculture means to the entrant.
• Videos must be between 30 seconds and 1 minute in length. 
• The video must caption must contain the entrant’s name, grade and school name.  The caption must match the information given on the Contestant Entry Form and Release Forms. 
• Each video must contain audio.
• All video content, including music, must be original.
• Video must be original worked created by the sixth-12^th grade student enrolled in the 2016-2017 school year. Student may receive guidance from a teacher, parent, or guardian.
• Videos must be in English.
• A talent release form must be submitted for every person that appears in the video.
• Failure to adhere to the video requirements may result in disqualification at the discretion of Sponsor.

Judging:

• Judging will be completed by a panel of qualified judges made up of representatives from the sponsoring organizations and experts from the agriculture industry.
• Entries will be based on:
• How well the video conveys the theme (40%)
• The ability to gain the viewer’s attention and make a lasting impression (25%)
• Quality including characteristics such as creativity, uniqueness, accuracy, persuasiveness, clarity, and overall visual and audio production (25%)
• Popular by vote on ViralSweep site (10%)
• In the event of a tie, the judges will vote again.
• The decision of the contest is final and no appeals will be recognized.

Prizes and Approximate Retail Value: There are three (3) prizes per category.  A total of six (6) prizes will be awarded.

Grades 6-8 Category

• 1^st Place – Go-Pro-Hero+.  Prize average retail value is $249.95.
• 2^nd Place - $150 cash.  Prize average retail value is $150.
• 3^rd Place - $50 cash.  Prize average retail value is $50.

Grades 9-12 Category

• 1st Place – Go-Pro-Hero+.  Prize average retail value is $249.95.
• 2nd Place - $150 cash.  Prize average retail value is $150.
• 3rd Place - $50 cash.  Prize average retail value is $50.
• Drawings/Odds:  The winners will be notified by March 10, 2017.  Winners do not need to be present to win.  Winners will be notified via email.  All winners will be invited to attend a public ceremony in Indianapolis on March 21, 2017.  For more information please contact ltaylor@indianasoybean.com.  If any the initial winners are ineligible or does not claim the prize within four (4) days, the prize will be forfeited and another winner will be chosen from the eligible entries received during the Entry Period based on the judged score.  The prize is non-transferable and no substitution or cash equivalent is permitted.  Winners are solely responsible for any federal, state, and local taxes.  Odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries received, according to the eligibility requirements in the Contest.  Non-winning entries will not be eligible for subsequent drawings.

• Information Privacy:  The information collected from entrants will only be used in connection with this Contest.  The information will be deleted after the Contest is over.  However, by participating in this Contest, the winners consent to allow Sponsor to publish the winners’ names, pictures, likeness and videos.     
• General Terms:  By entering this Contest, you promise to abide by the Official Rules and decisions of Sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all respects.  Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse, disqualify, or withdraw any entry at any time during the Entry Period.  Sponsor, Sponsoring Organizations and the affiliates, and subsidiaries of Sponsor and Sponsoring Organizations will not be responsible for any injury, damage, or loss of any kind arising out of your participation in this Contest.  YOU AGREE TO RELEASE, DISCHARGE, AND HOLD HARMLESS SPONSOR, SPONSORING ORGANIZATIONS, THE AFFILIATES, AND SUBSIDIARIES OF SPONSOR AND SPONSORING ORGANIZATION FROM AND AGAINST ANY OR ALL CLAIMS, LOSSES, INJURIES, OR DAMAGES RESULTING FROM PARTICIPATION IN THIS CONTEST.  By accepting the prize, the winner permits Sponsor to use winner’s name and/or likeness without further authorization, compensation, or remuneration of any kind for advertising, promotions and other publicity purposes.
