Our class is in need of new playground and PE equipment. We know that movement supports students physical and academic growth. With your support, we will enrich the lives of Palmer students through organized outdoor games and activities. If selected for the grant, we plan to complete a community beautification project to show the community our appreciation for their support.

Interesting French books are expensive! For example, one Tin Tin comic book costs $35! If selected for the Dolan class scholarship, my French students will receive more authentic and current French books. We can use these as a class, partner reading, or individual reading. That way French class is more enjoyable, while also being engaging!

And to give back to the community… What better way to give back than with French cuisine! If graciously awarded the Dolan class scholarship, our class project for the community will be to make Crepes for those most in need!

Traner Middle School is tucked away in an older Reno community directly next to Glenn Duncan Elementary School. Our Leadership class would like $5,000 to revitalize an empty lot/basketball court to spruce it up and make it a learning environment. How you ask? We want to weed out the lots and make them fresh. Then put in new basketball courts and some play areas. We would use this fresh new space to create a form of Big Brother/Sister relationship with the elementary students. This help sus be better humans to our younger kids and helps the younger kids have role models!

In honor of your generosity, we would use our weeding skills and trash clean up techniques to clean our beloved neighborhood park, Pat Baker. Leadership doesn't only want to be leaders in the school but in the community as well!

We would use the funds to purchase soccer goals for our soccer field. Our field is currently used after school by Sierra Kids, but it would also give us an opportunity to welcome other soccer organizations in the area to use our field. It would not only help keep our students safe, but bring them together as a community, at the Winnemucca soccer field.

Thank you so much for this opportunity! With the grant I would be better able to support my students by being able to purchase more supplies for lab equipment. For our community projects, students would work together to create (illustrate, write, and design) a children's story book based on a science topic. With this grant I would be able to publish the story book and have my students read and handout their books to elementary school students in our community! Again, thank you so much for this opportunity and for supporting our students in Northern Nevada!

McQueen Theatre is hosting a Children's Theatre festival for 1000+ K-3rd grade students in November! The money provided will allow us to create sets, costumes, props, etc. with our Construction and Art departments, and allow us to provde transportation to every student attending, making this a FREE field trip for all students. Early exposure to the arts is critical in developing an interest in arts, and studies show that participation in fine arts classes leads to better outcomes for students. We are very excited to host this co-curricular, community outreach project, allowing our high school theatre students a new performance opportunity as well as our construction and art students the opportunity to create unique projects. We can't wait to perform for elementary students, teachers and chaperones, and hope to develop a love of theatre in each of them!

Alyce Taylor Elementary School’s PE program needs help! Our Parent Teacher Organization (P.T.O) funds our PE teacher’s position but we need additional support purchasing updated equipment to make our PE program the best it can be. Our kids deserve new equipment to learn how to play cooperative games that are focused on physical health, wellness, good sportsmanship and kindness toward one another.



With the money from this grant, we can continue growing strong, healthy students who will become strong, healthy adults in our community!

CHS Speech and Debate regularly competes in tournaments, hosts their own tournament, collaborates with community service groups, and encourages communication across mainstream media!

Our wonderful kindergarteners and 1st graders are in need of additional computers. Currently our grade levels share which is hard for students to practice their technology skills. The funds will be used to purchase more computers in hopes of having a one-to-one ratio. This will highly improve student's skills in the use of computers along with navigating educational programs. We appreciate all your support.

We are hoping for the opportunity to bring life to our school by creating murals around the school inspired by our creative and talented students. For our community project, we are wanting to create an interactive mural for all the school population to participate in.

The greenhouse students at AACT put their hard work into furthering agriculture eduction with hands on learning. The funds would allow us to explains the greenhouse and buy new materials. 27% of the global workforce is in agriculture, so help us create the future workforce.

Hello! Funds will be used to facilitate our community outreach event, Fall Fest. This event helps the academy practice teaching skills as well as assist children 3-10 with Fine and Gross motor skill development. We will also use funds to help facilitate students competing in our Career and Technical Student Organization, FCCLA. This helps the academy learn leadership skills for future career success.

Libby Booth is a school that includes a highly diverse population of students who may not easily have access to experiences such as Sierra Nevada Journeys. Students at Libby Booth are statistically more likely to experience homelessness, poverty, food insecurity, and other adverse childhood events such as witnessing violence. Research indicates that connection with nature & community has the potential to ease the effects of these adverse experiences by building self-esteem and resiliency. The Bruins Community is raising funds for this trip with the goal of fully funding each 5th grade student who wants to participate.

North Valleys High School has doubled in student population, creating a need for upgraded physical fitness facilities. Our weight room is inadequate, with limited space and outdated equipment over 21 years old. This restricts student use, with classes of up to 55 students sharing a small number of racks, posing efficiency and safety risks. Other schools have modernized their facilities, leaving our students at a disadvantage. As a non-funded Title I school, many students face financial hardship and cannot afford gym memberships, making it crucial to provide equitable access to fitness resources. Research shows increased physical activity improves academic performance, further emphasizing these upgrades' importance. If successful, this project will connect middle school students to our high school, offering workout sessions that promote fitness and school spirit, while high school athletes’ mentor younger students. This initiative fosters leadership community pride and longterm wellness

The funds provided by the Dolan auto project will be used to fund all NHS community service projects. Chords for kids – for purchasing instruments-, buying resources for the military drive, and purchasing equipment to hold activity days for the new service project "Big Buddies".

We need to replace our ancient and dangerous choir risers. The choir will lead a winter holiday community sing-along. We want to lift people up and help connect the people in our community with the power of music. This is just the beginning of what we will do!

My whole goal since taking over our Leadership program has been to make Mendive magical. With the money, we plan on using it to not only make Mendive special, but the Mendive community special as well. The money will help not only make events more special through bigger and better products, but also to help families grow closer by providing more opportunities for families to come to Mendive. Last year we brought back our Family Night, which was very successful and bringing families into Mendive to have fun together, and it's already shaping up this year to be bigger than ever! Our new 8th grade dance was already magical, but with the moeny, it can continue to grow as the number of students who come grow with it. This coming week, we are already starting a new tradition here at Mendive called our Fall Fest! It's a day for students to go outside, and have a full on field day all to themselves! This money isn't just for Leadership. It's for Leadership to pour back into our Mendive Family!

In addition to our other Career and Technical Education classes, North Valleys High School is excited to offer a new CTE class in Multimedia, which has a profound impact on student's by giving them a chance to learn job skills by graduation. In Multimedia, students learn how to use professional software equipment to create designs, public service announcements and advertising. This year's focus is on photography, digital portfolios and graphic design in both digital and print medium. Since this is a new class, we were unable to obtain immediate funding for some vital equipment that is needed for students to understand how digital design differs from print media. The items we need are a mac computer connected to a color printer and a color poster printer. We intend to incorporate the career aspect of this project by having students offer their services to community businesses and produce designs for our school. At Our Lady of the Snows, your support will help purchase 25 robot kits, of varying educational levels, assisting K-6 Technology Classes. Each robot built is more than just a project, it's a step towards a future where their passions can shape entire industries and communities. These students will become tomorrow's innovators, engineers, and leaders. Because when students learn to create, they learn to shape their future... and our community’s future! Students would actively reach out and connect with local community members to explore how robotics can address everyday challenges. Through interviews and conversations, they will discover how robots could assist elderly or disabled individuals, help with household chores, yard work, or even care for pets. By utilizing robots they build, they will bring their innovative ideas to life. These projects would emphasize collaboration, empathy, and real-world problem solving, creating a strong connection between classroom learning and our local community!

Our class project is a community family meal around the holidays. The students will plan and execute the menu. Our school will host the party. All students and their families are invited. Multiple studies have shown that students who eat meals with their families are less likely to be involved in risky behavior like sexual activity and substance abuse. Students who eat with their families do better in school, are less likely to be obese, make healthier food choices, and have a better relationship with their families. We will also use winning funds to update our old and broken ovens. There are other equipment needs as well. Please like us and vote for us to support our community and school!

Through the arts, and specifically play production, we bring scholars face to face with classics and increase understanding and empathy. Help us put on a Shakespeare play for the entire community to enjoy!

Our fifth graders will engage in a 2 day trip to Project Discovery, a local outdoor camp which teaches leadership, communication, teamwork and personal responsibility. They will bring these skills back to our school and community and will implement them in a Community of Kindness project This project will focus on improving peer relationships across grade levels and will extend to the community through Kindness Kits to those in need! We will use the funds to pay for camp fees for our students and equipment (tents, sleeping bags) which we can use to continue the project for future classes.

Our special education resource room would greatly benefit from a $5,000 investment to better meet the unique needs of our students. This funding would allow us to upgrade essential tools and resources, such as adaptive furniture, sensory equipment, and individualized learning materials, creating a more inclusive and supportive environment. By improving accessibility and providing tailored resources, we can enhance our ability to address each student's learning style, promote independence, and ensure their success both academically, socially, and emotionally.

This project will bring our school and our local community together to build an outdoor classroom with an exciting art element.

Engaging in community service lays the foundation for responsible citizenship, helping kids understand their role in society and inspiring them to participate in civic activities as they grow older. Working together on projects teaches kids how to communicate effectively, share responsibilities, and appreciate diverse perspectives, important skills that will benefit them in various aspects of life.

I am a second year Art Educator with over 15 years of elementary experience, and I'm having the time of my life! CASMS is a STEAM focused, college-prep academy in Reno. With over 15 years of experience in elementary school, I took over the Art program last year and am having the time of my life! The way I see it, Art is the hub for ALL education as we make connections to core curriculum with every Art project. When we draw self portraits with grids and learn the Golden Ratio, we are doing Math. Mixing colors and firing pottery is chemistry. Contour drawings of shoes explore students' personal cultures and histories with a written autobiography. Please vote for our students to receive the resources we need, namely an iPad for grading and sharing our Artwork with family, friends, and the whole community, an EnviroVent so we may safely operate our pottery kiln, a new drying rack to conserve space and enough drawing boards for all students. Musical Theater has been a community tradition at Reed High School since 1988. We work with family and community members to put on a Broadway style production every year. Each year we invite the elementary and middle schools in our area to come watch a preview; this is such an enrichment opportunity to expose children to such a wonderful art form! We involve parents and community members by asking them to volunteer to help build sets, advertise, sell tickets, and make costumes. It really takes a village to put on a spectacular show! We do multiple shows in order to invite as many community members as we can.  This is also a wonderful enrichment opportunity for our students who work tirelessly for months to create an amazing production. Unfortunately this can be expensive and that is why we are hoping to get your vote, in order to keep this wonderful community tradition alive! Carson City School District often uses our small fenced in playground for community events. Adding shade to our playground will allow for use in the after school community programs. Shade also provides a place for families to gather during our community parent trainings and school-wide events. Safety of the families in our community wouldn’t have as many risks with the reduction of hot surfaces that young children would come into contact with.

Depoali MS Choir & Piano is looking to acquire iPads for the classroom. Our time is precious, and iPads can accomplish so much more faster than our current laptops. The time we save can be used to learn more music to perform for the community. We continue to perform at senior care centers every year, and your generosity helps us better prepare for these valuable opportunities.

Last year Marce Herz Middle School Leadership hosted our 1st Annual Veterans Day Luncheon with over 250 Veterans and their special guest(s). With the funds this year, we are hoping to make this event even BIGGER & BETTER for these incredible men and women who serve or have served our beautiful country. We are all about giving back and who is more deserving than our Veterans?

These funds will help our classroom for the yearbook to help with equipment. our classroom needs to have these things to be successful and to also improve the quality of our work. By involving students in this multifaceted project, we are not only creating a yearbook/publication but also fostering a deeper connection to their community, encouraging them to be active, informed citizens.

Thanks to Dolan Auto Group we have an opportunity to try and raise money for a green house project. With this project we would be able to build a greenhouse and form a garden with our students. With this project we would be able to teach our students the importance of growing our own resources and the work that goes behind it. We are hoping to encourage the community to help build, teach our students and staff, the proper gardening techniques. Once the project is complete we will be able to have a community farmers market to sell our produce and use the money to be put back into the greenhouse.

My students learn important math concepts in 3rd grade and to supplement their learning I would love to purchase two year-long online subscriptions from Explore Learning for Reflex and Frax for them. Reflex helps students to build automaticity with addition, subtraction, and multiplication facts. Frax introduces fractions to students. Both are highly engaging online games that can be played at home and at school. Students love these programs! We need six more laptops, so additional funds would be used to pay for them. We'll show our gratitude to our community by hosting a children's book drive to collect new and previously loved books at Westergard. Those books will be dontated to Spread the Word Nevada who will distribute them to families in our community in need of books at home. Finally, we'll take any remaining funds we haven't spent, make a budget, and purchase socks for firefighters to thank them for keep our community safe. We are so proud of our class project. We are the GATE Institute at Hug High School, and we are dedicated to making a positive impact in our community.



We aim to utilize this funding to support our brave first responders by creating care baskets filled with essentials, providing volunteer support, and other activities/events honor their service. Our goal is to express our gratitude and support their well-being through meaningful engagement.

We are the robotics team URSA Major at Galena High School. We aim to deepen our skill sets in the STEM field through competition through robotics and bring STEM to our community. These funds will go to buying more equipment for our team to make us more competitive overall. The King’s Academy (TKAreno.org) is a 501c3 Christian school. We are seeking funds to add much needed technology for our upper grade Elementary class. Every Fall, the students create and illustrate letters for the Veterans who are at the Reno V.A. hospital. This Community project at TKA has continued to grow over the years. If we win, this will add core digital tools for our students’ success. The ability to add technology resources that we don’t have now is a game changer. Our project at Pioneer High School is all about embracing kindness and creating a positive atmosphere for both students and staff. We will carry out quarterly Random Acts of Kindness—three times this school year—designed to uplift and inspire the entire school community. In addition, we are committed to supporting an Angel Tree family within the Carson City School District, providing essential assistance during the holidays, which will not only impact the family but also foster a spirit of giving across our community.
