Portland Community Reinvestment Initiatives , PCRI staff celebrating the groundbreaking on the Kafoury Court Project in February 2024, this is a significant milestone for our organization and has been in the works for over two decades. PCRI is developing 40 units of newly constructed Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) units in the King Neighborhood of Northeast Portland, focused on mitigating the current crisis of homelessness for African-American seniors in Portland. Kafoury Court will provide eight one-bedroom units at 60% MFI, six Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) studios, and 26 PSH one-bedroom units. There is a total of 40 PSH units that will be focused on African-American seniors on the Coordinated Access priority list in Multnomah County. Residents of Kafoury Court will be persons experiencing homelessness. tw_user 8 Weeks

The AjA Project, Memoria Terra is a weaving of personal stories and ground-up perspectives on City Heights' history, the home to many of San Diego's immigrant and refugee community. 6 young poets from City Heights took part in a collaborative storytelling process to cover 200-yards of a back-alley located in the heart of City Heights. To inscribe their poems onto the concrete, thermoplastic material was cut to size and burned onto the ground by The AjA Project and the Back Alley Poets. tw_user 8 Weeks
