Keys Health Ready Coalition INC., Keys Health Ready Coalition, INC (KHRC) is a federally recognized health care coalition that operates in the Florida Keys. Our Mission is to develop and promote healthcare preparedness, response and recovery capabilities to hazards and disasters in Monroe County, Florida. In this photo, our community partners in the Villages of Islamorada Fire Rescue are using their Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) system, sponsored by KHRC! KHRC aims to improve healthcare preparedness and response by expanding the RQI program. The project focuses on improving the skills of emergency personnel, such as fire rescue and EMS teams delivering high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and basic life support (BLS). The RQI system uses a low-dose, high-frequency training model to maintain and verify the competence of healthcare providers and those responding to emergencies.
