Our vision is for all students who graduate from SSHS to each receive their brick added to the Legacy Brick walk. Part of the grant would go to having classes from 2004-2009 sandblasted by a professional company. Construction students would lay the concrete and bricks for all of the classes in our school from 2004-2024. Our Construction program would have students help mask the bricks, sandblast and stone paint them, lay the concrete and level the areas to lay the pavers into the curbs correctly.

If selected as the winner we will use the funds to complete our sensory integrated playground for our PreK and Elementary students.

We are proposing an upgrade to our outdated playground. New equipment promotes safety, inclusivity, and physical activity. Educational elements, like interactive learning stations and gardening areas, enrich playtime, aligning with research that highlights recess's cognitive, social, and physical benefits. Please help us invest in our students' holistic development.

Lemmon Valley students and staff want to help our community by having access to reach out to them! To do this, we are asking Dolan Auto Group and our community to help us enter the 21st century. With these funds, we will purchase more technology that will help our students, staff, families, and community to become better connected.

We currently have one area of grass on our playground for students to use to play football, soccer, and other games. Our school is currently under construction, which has taken a toll on our grass, as well as the extreme weather from last year. We would use these funds to redo the grass area on the playground. By having this space for physical activity, it will help students get their energy out while playing games they love. This will enable students to return to the classroom ready to learn and be engaged.



Each month, Little Flower School, takes part in the Little Flower Outreach Program which prepares lunches for the homeless in our community once a month.

Oasis Academy’s mission is to improve lives through opportunity. As a public charter school in Fallon, Nevada we serve a diverse population of just under 800 students.



We pride ourselves in providing our agriculture and military community with resources to bridge gaps and provide exceptional academic and co-curricular opportunities to students. We do this while also connecting families to resources they may not have known were available. Oasis wants everyone to have the opportunity to run with the Bighorn Herd.



Our project is to revamp our playground with more equipment and fix our turf. The project will give more options for our growing student population to engage and play safely at recess and during family community activities. The revamp will allow students the opportunity to be active and foster positive peer relationships. All while building our HERD – Honesty, Empathy, Respect, Determination.

The addition of new technology at Van Gorder Elementary School promises to be highly beneficial for our students as we struggle to meet the many needs for technology. By integrating new technology into the educational experience, students will gain access to a wealth of resources and opportunities for enriched learning. Digital tools and devices will enable personalized learning experiences, catering to individual needs and learning styles. Online research and educational software will expand their knowledge horizons, while interactive learning platforms will make lessons more engaging and interactive. Additionally, technology will foster collaboration among students, facilitating group projects and teamwork, enhancing their problem-solving skills, and preparing them for the digital-centric world they will encounter in the future. In return, our students have decided to give back to our community by collecting and distributing needed items to our local senior citizens for the holidays.

Over the last few years the Verdi field has struggled to survive. Watering issues, lack of fertilizing, thatching and aerating have created a unplayable and uneven play area. The field is used by both the school and the community. Not having a safe and green space is impacting recess, community events and the Verdi soccer team. With a bit of money and time, we know that we can get this field back to its original glory. The staff is willing to put in the time, we just need the financial assistance. With the support of our community and the Dolan Auto Group, we would be able to build raised garden beds where we could plant fresh produce and share what we grow with our students, neighbors, and community members in need. The garden would serve as an outdoor classroom where students could explore science, math, and art in a hands-on way while also promoting sustainability. Our goal is to make the Rollan Melton Elementary garden a space for learning, growth, and fun while serving as a model for schools across our region. Reno High School History Project

Built in 1890, Reno High School is the oldest high school in Reno, We want to enrich the history on the walls inside and outside of our school. We'd like to add plaques of our inception dates, we would like to add a large case to honor all our veterans, and we would love to update our white walls that line the tops of our beautiful yellow tiles. These reminders of our rich past would set a precedence for all current and future students who walk through these halls. The overall goal of our project is for our present to connect with our past.

Hello Dolan Automotive!



My name is Serena Herup and I am a first grade teacher at Rita Cannan Elementaryl! We are a Title 1 school in the Washoe County School District that is currently also in the process of becoming a STEAM school with our Work Hard Play Hard Initiative. For my class and school project, I want to really focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics by putting quality technology in the hands of our students who normally wouldn’t have access to it. I want to change the narrative of Title 1, and to put our students ahead of the current and into the new age. By getting every student an iPad and Laptop, we can continue to incorporate technology every day and expand further by teaching more coding, troubleshooting, and technological literacy. In addition to that, I would LOVE to purchase Lego Robotics kits to start a Lego Robotics Team at our school, and potentially use the kits for a Work Hard Play Hard Event! Please help Bud Beasley get robots! We would love to get robots to use in classrooms and in a robotics club. Our robotics club will be able to put on a community showcase. The showcase will be put on by the students from the robotics club. It will be an opportunity for our community to come and learn more about robotics and how it can help improve our school and the future careers of our students.

Eagle Valley Middle School (EVMS) seeks funding to collaborate with The Greenhouse Project, enhancing downtown beautification. We request support from the Dolan Group of Carson City to acquire materials for cultivating petunia seeds for the downtown petunia baskets.



Our science and CTE Agricultural Studies curriculum aligns perfectly with this hands-on project. EVMS faces budget constraints, relying on community partners like the Dolan Group to realize our vision. Activities will include student participation in seedling cultivation at our on-site hoop house and planting healthy petunia seedlings in downtown baskets. Over 400 students, spanning various grades and backgrounds, will directly benefit from this project, fostering responsibility, teamwork, and civic pride.

In summary, our collaboration with The Greenhouse Project and the establishment of the EVMS hoop house signify a transformative shift in education. This project bridges the gap between theory and practice.

As a brand new school, we are starting from scratch. Our funding is low and we don’t have the funds saved up yet to afford our students with the opportunities to get involved in many community projects that we aspire to provide, such as creating a school garden, community nature restoration projects and science and engineering immersive experiences. It will take a long time for us to save up funds in order to provide such projects, but with the head start the Dolan School Project would provide could make this all this possible and more.

The Carson City School District Elementary School Social Workers would use the funds in order to help each of our school sites create a safe and welcoming space for students to come to when they are needing a quiet and calm space to regulate their mind and bodies. We would also use the funds in order to purchase curriculum and programs to support our tier two services for small groups which help our student growth and success inside and outside of school with both behavior and social emotional support.

Innovations High School is a Big Picture Learning school in Downtown Reno. We focus on community and service learning. Our school is growing bigger than our learning space, and we would love to create an outdoor classroom. This will allow us to have class outside, give a place for scholars to eat lunch, and better our school culture.

If we are fortunate enough to win the Dolan Challenge, we will create an upgraded stage with spectacular lighting and a new sound system to showcase our students' talents. We feel strongly about giving back and we would love to share our new stage with the community and host enrichment activities and preforming art events.

Pine middle school's video is all about the positive ways we would us the funding as a school. We would love to put the money toward positive behavior incentives such as dances and field trips. We also really want to create a calming space in our school, as these are important so students can have a safe space to be. Our community project would be partnering up with Smithridge elementary and donating books and doing reading buddies.
