Our class need is a Trailer for storing and hauling equipment. We plan to perform music at the local Senior Center to provide entertainment for the elderly and students will spend time talking to these valuable members of our community.

Our amazing 4th graders at Silver Lake Elementary are leading the ‘Stay Healthy and Hydrated’ project! With the help of the Dolan Class Project, we hope to install a brand-new hydration station since many of our current fountains aren’t working properly. We’ve already reached out to Capital Projects and received an invoice of $4,999 to replace and install the station, and through fundraising, we’ve already raised $1,000 toward this goal. As part of this project, we will be completing a community outreach project to promote healthy hydration habits at school and at home, helping families make water a priority for better health.

Carson High School's Intermediate and Advanced Musical Theatre class is so excited to be performing the gorgeous musical Hadestown as an in class project! This will be our adjudicated competition piece for the Nevada High School Musical Theatre Awards. The cost to produce a musical is very high - the materials and royalties alone are thousands of dollars - so this grant funding will go towards those costs as well as costumes, sets, lighting, props, sound equipment, and more to create a beautiful piece of art that our whole community can enjoy... and we can't wait to make Carson City proud at the NVHSMTA! For our community project we will host a free performance for near by middle schools, host a food drive and share our "Worker's Voices" project.

My classroom project is to purchase more Chromebooks and a Chromebook cart for my classroom. We would use the Chromebooks to create presentations and do research projects, which we will then present to assisted living communities nearby.

We need continued help securing resources for our classroom, including technology, software subscriptions, sheet music, piano tunings, transportation, etc. Student fees do not cover all of our needs to run the music programs, and families are on tight budgets. This grant will help transport our students to elderly care centers to provide music for the holidays. Every donation matters and impacts a child in the arts!

Rita Cannan Elementary , 5th Grade Library Revamp

Our two 5th grade classroom libraries are in urgent need of new, high-interest books that reflect our students’ diverse backgrounds and interests. Many of our current books are outdated, worn, or no longer engaging for today’s readers.

With funding from Dolan Auto Group, we’ll refresh our classroom libraries to promote a love of reading, support academic growth, and create inclusive spaces where every student feels represented and inspired.

As part of our community outreach project, we will also build an outdoor library stand at our school to provide free books to families and encourage literacy beyond the classroom.

If awarded funds from the Dolan Class Project 2025, Galena DECA will be able to support over 25 student members with registration and travel costs for the DECA Nevada SCDC competition in Las Vegas in February of 2026. We will also be able to use the funds awarded by giving back to our community through a Youth Craft Fair, where DECA students will support young entrepreneurs in the Reno/Tahoe area by organizing and sponsoring an event in which creative students in our community can make and sell their crafts. Our community outreach project will teach these students skills about personal finance, entrepreneurship, leadership, and much more! As the founding DECA chapter here at Galena High School, our members are elated to begin this journey to grow their skills as young professionals in our area. If awarded, these funds will help us set the foundation of this club for years to come!

Currently at O’Brien Middle School, our Physical Education program is operating with limited and aging equipment. Many of our basketballs are flat, our jump ropes are frayed, and our volleyball nets are torn. This makes it difficult for students to get the full benefit of PE, which is often the foundation for lifelong healthy habits.



Winning the Dolan $5,000 Class Project would make a lasting impact by giving our students the tools they need to be active, healthy, and successful both inside and outside of school. We will be able to create a lending library so students can check out items to bring home and use with family and friends.

Hug High School's student leadership wants to improve the school culture and help our community by bringing Hug spirit to those around us! Our leadership class has DOUBLED in size this school year and we want to purchase more class supplies, event equipment, and community building activities. Debbie Smith CTE Academy FCCLA is a Career and Technical Education-driven program, inspiring students into careers surrounding Family and Consumer Sciences. This year, we are hosting a Winter Wonderland on November 21st! It will be a night to remember, filled with games, food, fun, and a community tree lighting! During this event, we will be hosting a canned food drive AND a toy drive, so that we can give back to our community in need. This fundraising event will support low-income students competing in our Career and Technical Student Organization, Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America, prepping students for future careers, creating leadership skills, and allowing students to showcase their interests.

Our high school library is a hub for learning, collaboration, and community, and grant funds would allow us to expand our impact in meaningful ways. We would use the funds to run a book drive, donating to nearby elementary schools with fewer resources, while also enriching our own library space. Students would enjoy raffles, puzzles, and games that promote connection and wellness, as well as new, comfortable furniture that makes the library a welcoming place to gather. We would strengthen our nonfiction collection to support research, curiosity, and real-world learning, ensuring students have access to diverse, engaging texts. Since our library also partners with teachers to co-teach lessons and create interactive learning opportunities, the grant would provide essential supplies to keep these programs thriving. With this support, we can make the library not only the heart of our school, but also a bridge to the wider community.

These journals are more than just a classroom project. They’re handwritten notes, drawings, and heartfelt messages meant to brighten the days of our elderly neighbors living in assisted living facilities.







Because of the limitations of our current technology, we’ve shifted to creating these journals on paper a slower, more difficult process for small hands still learning to write and create. But the heart behind the project is strong. With the right tools, these children could go even further.

This is Debbie Smith CTE Academy's very first year, and we’re making history together. Originally, music wasn’t part of the plan for our school, but thanks to passionate voices from our community, our principal embraced the idea with enthusiasm and a vision for a vibrant music program.



Since the addition was announced, interest in music has soared. Our students are eager, talented, and ready to create something special. But we’re facing a major challenge: our inventory of instruments is extremely limited. Most of what we have is borrowed, generously shared by other programs, but many of these instruments are damaged or unplayable.



To truly build the strong, inspiring music program our students deserve, we need working instruments of our own.



If we’re awarded the $5,000, our rock band will host a special performance for the community, a heartfelt thank you for believing in us and investing in the future of music at Debbie Smith CTE Academy.

We will use the funds to purchase new soccer goals for our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade playground. Our playground is used every day afterschool by Sierra Kids, and it would also give us an opportunity to welcome other soccer organizations in the area to use our field. We are going to help the Community by having our School Soccer Team clean up trash at Rainbow Ridge Park and the paved trail that connects our school neighborhood to Rainbow Ridge Park. Our school enjoys field trips to this local park.

Mr. Charles’ fishing class aims to use the grant funding to purchase essential fishing equipment—including new rods and reels, fishing line, lures, and nets—to enhance student learning and engagement. These tools will support hands-on outdoor education at Pyramid Lake, offering students the opportunity to explore the unique ecosystem and cultural significance of the area.







Through fishing activities, students will learn about the iconic Lahontan Cutthroat Trout—Nevada’s state fish—and the endangered Cui-ui, both native to Pyramid Lake. The class will also explore the traditions of the local Paiute Tribe, deepening their understanding of the importance of preserving both the lake’s natural resources and its cultural heritage.







This grant will empower students to connect with nature, build lifelong outdoor skills, and become stewards of one of Nevada’s most important ecological and cultural landmarks.

Transform your child's love for technology into an exciting learning adventure. Guided by our team of youth mentors and teachers, your child will learn in a cooperative team environment including the skills, knowledge and craftsmanship to engineer and build robots.

We will use the funds to purchase new slides for our Kindergarten playground. The slides have been broken and boarded up for several years. Our Kindergarten playground has the only slides at our school. Our new slides would be used by our Pre-K program, along with our Strategies and Autism program, who would be so excited to have their first slide. We are going to help our Community by the Kindergartners writing Christmas Cards to Seniors at the Summerset Senior Assisted Living facility right down the street from our school. The Kindergarteners are very excited to make the Christmas Cards!

Mendive Leadership needs your help! Help us be able to keep our Magic Store open! Each month, we allow our school to have access to our school store where students can spend their "Mendive Bucks" that they have earned from their teachers. Students can purchase items like chips, sodas, candy, and other prizes! Our problem is that this store is expensive each month, and we do not have access to money we used to use in the past. Our Leadership team really wants to be able to continue to keep this store open, helping keep the Magic here at Mendive! Funds will also go towards our community family night which we will be hosting later this year! Please vote for us!

Let's be real, a middle school field trip to the local fire station is about as exciting as watching paint dry. We've all been there, and we've all yawned through it. But what if we could trade the mundane for the magnificent? What if we could take our brilliant students from Newton Northern Nevada on excursions that actually spark their curiosity and ignite their imaginations?







Your grant can help us replace the same old trips with unforgettable adventures that show our kids the world is bigger, wilder, and way more interesting than they ever imagined. These trips will also be about giving back to the community that supports us. We want to use some of these funds to visit our local veterans at the Northern Nevada State Veterans Home in Sparks. Our students will deliver handmade cards, along with essential items like socks, hats, scarves, and cookies, to show our gratitude and bring a bit of cheer to those who have served.

We are applying as Galena Speech and Debate. If we won the Dolan Class project we would use the money to remove financial barriers such as, tournament fees, travel expenses, and research materials. The funds would make sure that nobody is excluded from Speech and Debate due to financial constraints. Our project will be dedicated to expanding our reach within the community. To do this we plan on creating resources that go beyond our school, supporting local middle schools Speech and Debate programs, and hosting

a showcase to get families involved.

At Desert Skies Middle School, our 6th Grade Leadership students are excited to use Dolan project funds to bring more after-school clubs to our campus and enrich the lives of all students. These clubs will provide opportunities to have fun, spend time with friends, and try new things in a safe, positive environment. We also want our project to extend beyond just clubs. We plan to use part of the funds to support community outreach and service projects. New Wrestling Mats for Traner's Growing Wrestling Team



Traner's Wrestling team has grown significantly in the last few years, but our equipment, specifically our wrestling mats are ancient! This project would help us fund new wrestling mats so our students can continue to tackle their goals! We will also be supporting and running a food drive for our community.

At AACT High School, our library has fewer than 2,500 books—far below the 10,000+ that most schools offer—leaving students with limited opportunities to discover stories that inspire and connect them to the world. With funding, we will transform our space by adding engaging books, comfortable furniture, and updated shelving that creates a welcoming environment for readers. This project will not only benefit our students, but also extend into the community through our Junior Service Learning Project, where we’ll share our love of reading with local elementary schools. We are Soarin' Voices Choir at Inskeep Elementary School! We are applying for the Dolan Classroom Project to get the funding for Harmony Harvest.
