Competition Terms & Conditions

Promoter: This competition is promoted by Safair Operations (Proprietary) Limited, trading as FlySafair, (reg. no. 2007/032915/07) (“FlySafair”, “us”, “we” or “our”).

Competition Period: The competition runs from the 24^th of April 2026 – 31^st of May 2026 only. No entries will be accepted after 23h59 on 31^st May 2026.

Who Can Enter:

You are eligible to participate in this competition or promotion if:

You are a natural person, at least 18 (eighteen) years old, and a permanent resident of South Africa, and

You are NOT:

A supplier of goods or services connected to this competition,

A director, member, partner, employee, agent, or consultant to the Promoter, or any other entity directly or indirectly controlling or controlled by the Promoter,

A family member (spouse, life partner, parent, child, brother, sister) or business partner of the persons mentioned above.

How to enter: You may enter the competition by navigating to the web-based entry form and supplying the required details to complete a first entry. Further entries may be earned by fulfilling certain actions outlined on the website, including, but not limited to successfully referring other entries via social media or email, visiting our website and sharing the promotion on social media platforms.

Upon entering the competition, you are deemed to have read and accepted all terms and conditions of the competition.

FlySafair reserves the right to modify the competition at any time without prior notice.

By supplying your participant information via the competition entry you provide your consent to receive newsletter and marketing communications from FlySafair.

By entering the competition, you consent that your email details will be stored for marketing purposes. Any communication sent to you will have a clear opt-out option should you wish to unsubscribe from marketing communication from FlySafair.

Entry fees: Participation in the promotions or competitions is completely free, and no entry fees are required.

Prize:

The prize consists of free domestic Lite fare flights on FlySafair for a period of 6 (six) months (180 days) from the date of issue, awarded to 1 (one) winner.

The winner must nominate 1 (one) travel companion (“the nominated companion”) upon being contacted by the Promoter. The nominated companion must be designated upfront and may not be changed thereafter.

The prize permits the winner to book and travel on domestic Lite fare flights during the validity period, subject to availability. The winner may:

travel alone; or

travel together with their nominated companion.

Where the nominated companion travels, such travel must be on the same booking and flight as the winner. The nominated companion may not travel independently of the winner.

All bookings must be made by the winner. The prize may only be used by the winner and their nominated companion and may not be transferred, assigned, or used for the benefit of any third party.

Flights are subject to availability and may only be redeemed on flights with available inventory within the validity period. FlySafair does not guarantee availability on any specific route or date.

The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and may not be exchanged for cash or any other benefit. No name changes will be permitted once the winner and nominated companion have been confirmed.The free Lite fare flights will include taxes and applicable surcharges but exclude any extras opted for by the winner such as, but not limited to, checked-in bags, pre-selected seats, insurance, catering, etc.

The winner will receive an official notification letter outlining the procedure for booking their free Lite Fare flights.

The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Any attempt to transfer individual flight segments to another traveller other than the winner & their nominated companion are not permitted and will result in a cancellation of the prize at the sole discretion of FlySafair.  

Visas or other required travel documents, airport transfers, and related expenses will not be paid for by the promoter and are the sole responsibility of the prize winner.

Save as expressly excluded herein, all FlySafair Standard Terms and Conditions of Booking and Carriage will apply to the free Lite Fare flights. Our Standard Terms and Conditions may be located at: https://www.flysafair.co.za/about-us/legal-ts-cs/terms-of-booking-carriage.

Selection of Winner: The winner will be chosen by FlySafair via an electronic platform and selected via a random computerised drawing process to be held no later than 7 (seven) working days after the competition end date. FlySafair’s decision in selection of the winner is final and no correspondence will be entered into with any competition participant other than the winner.

Late, illegible, incomplete, defaced or corrupt entries, or entries sent through agencies and third parties, will not be accepted.

Notification of Winner: The winner(s) will be notified via email within 7 (Seven) days of the draw and where necessary, follow-up phone calls will also be made to the winner(s). In the event that a winner(s) cannot be successfully reached in a period not exceeding 24 (Twenty-Four) hours of the initial attempt, or fails to provide the required information or documentation within the same period, such winner(s) shall forfeit the prize in its entirety. In such instances, the Promoter reserves the right to redraw such prize and select an alternative winner(s). The winners will be announced on the Promoter's Facebook page located at https://www.facebook.com/flysafair. The Promotor's decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into with a competition participant other than the 1 (One) winners.

Forfeit: A winner will forfeit his/her prize in the following situations:

If they have already won a prize in this competition,

If they fail to provide the necessary participant information in a period not exceeding  24 (twenty-four) hours of the request,

If they are found to have breached any of the competition rules stated herein,

If they fail to accept delivery of the prize after 2 (two) delivery attempts by the Promoter, and

If it is unlawful for the winner to receive the prize.

In case of a forfeit, the Promoter reserves the right to select another winner from the remaining participants.

Use of participant and winner information: By participating in this competition, you agree and consent to the use by FlySafair or a third party nominated by FlySafair of your participant information for purposes related to this competition. You consent that your name and surname may be announced, posted and displayed on FlySafair’s social media platforms. The winner may also be requested to participate in marketing activities, including having his/her photograph taken or being filmed, but he/she will be entitled to decline to do so. The participant will not be entitled to any form of remuneration as a result of FlySafair so using his/her participant information.

Unforeseen events: In the event of any unforeseen circumstances or any causes beyond FlySafair’s reasonable control, FlySafair at its sole discretion reserves the right to cancel this competition, amend the rules, or change the prize at any time without notice to you. Should any unforeseen event occur that may render the prize draw or the awarding of the prize impossible due to reasons beyond the control of FlySafair, no liability whatsoever shall be attributable to FlySafair.

Privacy Policy: By entering into this competition, you acknowledge and consent that FlySafair may process your Personal Information provided to us. Your Personal Information shall be processed in strict compliance with the applicable Data Protection Legislation (Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013) and FlySafair’s Privacy Policy accessible on request or on FlySafair's website at https://www.flysafair.co.za/about-us/legal-ts-cs/privacy-policy;

Indemnification: You will fully indemnify, defend and hold FlySafair harmless from and against any and all claims, actions, demands, causes of action and other proceedings arising from or related to any of the following (the "Claims"): (a) your use of, inability to use, or activities in connection with the website; (b) any violation of these terms and conditions or any other FlySafair terms, conditions or policies by you or through any account you may have with any website; (c) any transaction; (d) any allegation that any submission or other materials that you make available through the website infringe or otherwise violate the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party; or (e) your violation of any rights of any website visitor, user, or customer, or any other third party; and you agree to reimburse FlySafair on demand for any damages, losses, costs, judgments, fees, fines and other expenses we incur (including attorneys' fees) as a result of any claim(s). This means that you will be held liable for any loss or damage we suffer following any claims.

Governing Law:

This competition in its entirety, is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
